Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is one of the best 4WD vehicles built, the Range Rover Classic. This is the optional County Edition painted in Trocadero Red Micatallic, with Sorrell brown leather, special trim and options. This is a three owner Rover and has spent the last decade cruising the streets of southern California. This Rangie has a number of desirable upgrades. The sometimes troublesome air suspension was replaced with Old Man Emu shocks and springs. These feature a 2" lift and work much better than the factory set-up. Also installed were a super heavy duty set of running boards by Rovers North. The Rover is also equipped with the factory front and rear brush guards. This Range Rover will go anywhere you need to go. The alloy V8 runs well and does not not overheat. It goes down the road well(especially considering the oversize BFG All Terrain tires the previous owner installed. The interior is in good condition-much better than most classic Rovers, no rips in the wonderful Conolly leather, and the wool carpets are also pretty nice as they have been protected by factory floor mats. The miles on this Rover are high, as the second owner used it as his daily driver for years. It has always been serviced and the oil changed regularly. It sounds like it should and does not make any unusual noises. The transmission shifts well, as it should. Most of the electrics work well-all the lights, gauges, signals, front/rear wipers, etc work as they should. The driver side rear window does not work, nor does the AC. The heat/defrost work as does the sunroof. While the interior is quite nice, the paint is faded on the top surfaces and the sides are also showing their age. There are a number of door dings and one crease on the driver front fender. This Rover runs well enough that it deserves a new paint job. As stated, the AC doesn't work and the door locks must be operated manually. The clock works, though! This Range Rover represents an excellent opportunity to own the best 4WD built and a well appreciated classic. Values of these original Rangies are going up, here is one offered at no reserve that runs well. Unlike many other less expensive Rovers, this one runs well and has some nice upgrades. Drive it while you improve the cosmetics-or take it off road and enjoy as is. Good luck and thanks for bidding!
