1967 Camaro RS/SS Convertible Project car Similar to Dealer Replica versions of 1967 Indy 500 Pace Cars except no "-" or fleet code. Equipped the same as 8 Indy Zone Blue Topper - black nose cars driven by Indianapolis Chevrolet Zone officials during the 1967 Indy 500 events. R = Bright Blue interior 12667 = Convertible, Custom interior NOR 137159 – Body Sequence Number 732-Z = Deluxe blue bucker seats C-4 = Ermine White body , Blue convertible top (rare color) 2LG = 4 speed, center console 3L = Rally Sport option 4P = SS 350 (295hp, L-48) Car came equipped with 12-bolt posi, square traction bar, drum brakes, console gauges. Car was raced since 1972 and the quarter panel, inner and outer wheel housing were cut to allow for large rear tires. They will have to be replaced. The floor and trunk bracing were not cut. The trunk floor was cut for a fuel cell and will also need replacement or patching. Needs entire front clip. Sold from Dealership in the Dayton, Ohio Area 1978 IHRA Formula Stock Record holder (Ohio, Tri-states area), See picture of car "Payroll Deduction" Last raced in early 80’s. In storage since then. Produced same week (06C - June 3rd week) as 11 Big Block Canadian Festival Cars prepared like the Indy 500 Pace cars earlier that year. Similar to many possible “RPO Dealership Replica” cars ordered by/at various dealerships both before and after the Indy 500 to imitate the actual Indy Pace cars. Too late to be an actual pace car based on the build week (after 05A/05D depending on criteria) and missing the “-“ or COPO/Fleet code the actual pacers and replicas have to signify a blue nose stripe instead of the standard black stripe. Has correct date coded (but non original or numbers matching) L-48 350 (295 hp) and M-20 Muncie 4-speed for correct restoration.
