Vehicle Detail

Here for auction is our 67 Plymouth Belvedere II. This car was born in California and only came to Kansas 2 years ago. It is no trailer queen and I consider it a daily driver even though we only drive it in semi-good to great weather. It is equipped with the 273 2 barrel and automatic transmission, Power Steering and Manual Drum brakes. My wife and I found the car on EBay and decided we had to have it. We flew in to San Diego and drove it back to Kansas City with no issues. That isn’t for some people and I won’t say we didn’t have any reservations about it, but I will say that speaks to the condition of the car. The body has been worked on before, but I can’t say to what extent. I do believe that the panels are original but rust has been repaired in the lower quarters and below the rear window. There are 2 or 3 dime size or smaller bubbles in the paint on the right rear wheel well. The paint was new just before we purchased it, but the dealer could not tell me how new it really was. It shines very nicely and looks good for a driver. The vinyl top is original; shows some age, but is not ripped or torn. The trim is decent, straight and shines nicely. The front bumper is straight, but has two areas that are bubbled and a little rusty. I tried to get the worst area in the pictures. The rear bumper has a small dent on the driver’s corner and the chrome is ok. The seats are not original vinyl and have been redone at some point, but look original and ride really good. Most everything else is original but in good shape for the age. The carpet is faded and worn and was on my list of things to replace. The headliner has 1 tear several inches long above the rear seat area. Since my purchase, I have replaced a shift shaft seal in the transmission, re-sealed the power steering pump, replaced the battery, replaced the points and rebuilt the carburetor. The idle is a little rough, but acceleration is smooth and even. No power house but runs well. I am not aware of anything that is not working as it should except the AM radio. Static and 1 maybe 2 stations if you hold your tongue right. I have a suspension rebuild kit from Performance Suspension that is still in the box as I was waiting until I could add the power disc conversion. I added the Magnum 500’s and BF Goodrich T/A’s and if the reserve is exceed by 800 dollars they will stay with the car. If the reserve is not exceeded by this amount the steel rims with Firestones and wheel covers will be on it. There are pictures of the car with both. My reserve is $7,000. There is no warranty written or implied and the car is AS-IS. I recommend an independent inspection or come see it yourself before you purchase. I’ve tried to describe the condition of the vehicle to the best of my ability and I hope that the pictures speak for themselves, but if you have questions or need more pictures, please contact me by email. I will respond as quickly as possible. I can help with loading the vehicle, but shipping is the sole responsibility of the person who wins the auction.
