1955 Lincoln Custom (not Capri) This is a rare car, in 1955 Lincoln only made 1362 of the Custom 2 door hard top sport coupes, compared to 11462 of the Capri sport coupes. The Custom was the base model, so it didn't have all the accessories the Capri came standard with. It did come with power windows, power steering, radio, two heaters ( second under drivers seat) and power antenna. This car is stock except for an Edelbrock carb ( original included) This car came out of Nevada, brought to Washington in 2006, where it sat in storage until I purchased in July of 2011. It was not running when I purchased it, but it now runs and drives. The motor is original 341 CI, trans looks like it may have been replaced or rebuilt and it comes with a second one as well. I replaced the master cylinder and all wheels cylinders to make the brakes operational. I replaced the starter, starter solenoid, battery, battery cables, voltage regulator, new generator brushes, plugs, points condenser, rotor, and coil. So it starts, runs and moves. . . not yet street ready. . . When purchased it was partially converted to 12 volts, most of the instruments were disconnected and I am working through reconnection which is not complete yet. It does have operational after market oil and temp gauges. and the original amp gauges is working. The interior is mostly original, but had work done some time ago. It looks ok, and is very useable, needs cleanup and tinkering/fixing. . . The windows were operational with the 12v system but currently the front are slow and the backs aren't working at all. All the glass is good, wing vents have some bubbles on the edge. It has no rust out except for the bottom of the battery tray which need replacement. The rest of the body, floors, etc, are solid with no rust out issues. The rokcers have bondo and some bubbles starting to show. There is of course surface rust underneath the car but nothing significant.. The body was repainted sometime in the past, and is very straight but not without minor blemishes. It has all the chrome and stainless, bumpers need redone I have all the trim not shown on the car in the pictures. Also have good replacement hood hinges, and other misc parts. This does need a restoration, and it needs work. It needs wiring specifically to be drivable on the street - currently the lights are not working. Also the brakes need adjustment, possibly new shoes.
