I ENDED THIS LISTING A FEW DAYS AGO BECAUSE BIDDERS WERE HAVING PROBLEMS VIEWING THE PHOTOS. Here is a new listing with new photos. Thanks for your patience. HERE IS ANOTHER WELL-CRAFTED BEAUTY! Up for sale is a 1968 Porsche 912 with sunroof that has been freshly restored. This is an original California car. It was stripped down and completely restored. Everything was removed, refurbished or replaced. The car started out as a car with matching number. Vin: 12803032 Engine: 1282943 Trans: 1081321 902/01 Paint: 17657 Miles: 73,138 EXTERIOR The car was sanded down to bare metal and painted back to its original color code (17657) Ivory with an excellent paint finish . All the trims and seals were replaced. New horns were installed. New H4 headlights, new side marker reflectors, new fog lights, new horn grills. The original steel wheels 5.5 J x 15 were all re-chromed and dressed with new tires and newly chromed original hubcaps. Tail lights and turn signal lights were refurbished. INTERIOR The interior was completely refurbished with ivory and coco color hide. Perforated hide and hounds-tooth on seats, new door panels, dash, new headliner, new carpets. Brake pedal cluster was rebuilt with new brass bushing and repainted. New shifter bushing. All gauges were removed, checked, cleaned and repainted, and all in excellent restored working condition. Even the clock works. ENGINE and SUSPENSION Each and every bolt and nut for the engine and suspension was taken out and cab plated or zinc plated and all brake lines were replaced. Each and every part that was removed has been powder coated, such as, the hood hinges, deck lid hinges, A arms, spring plates, the complete suspension and all engine sheet metal, including the air cleaners,were powder coated in gloss finish. The engine was rebuilt with all new gaskets and seals, new rod bearings, 86mm big bore kit, valve job, new clutch disc, pressure plate and trout bearing. The 4 speed transmission was checked and resealed. This engine performs extremely well with lots of power, and the transmission shifts smoothly like it should. The front and rear suspension was rebuilt with all new bushing, new shocks, front and rear. New brakes all around, new brake lines and hoses, new tires, front and rear. This car is very neat and clean, and also very solid. The undercarriage is extremely clean and solid too. This is a real beauty. The car is now available for viewing by appointment only.
