Vehicle Detail

I have for sale a nearly comeplete ( 60% ) restoration of a 1949 International KB-5 Flatbed truck. I had purchased the 1949 initially and then bought the 1947 because it had some really nice parts. ( it kind of a sickness) So what I know have is a truck and 3/4,s for sale. Below is a breakdown of what I have done and what you will get. A. restoration till this point: Motor comepletely rebuilt and runs fine all new rings, main bearings, rod bearings and cam bearing. I also replaced all of the valve springs all of the rebuild parts for the engine came from Egge out of California. Brakes have all been comepletely rebuilt, This includes the wheel cylinders master cylinder and the hydra vac. All new hoses and steel lines were also replaced. Transmission was nice but I still replaced all the bearings and seals. 6 brand new tires tubes and flaps ( very expensive ) I have a new headliner and glove compartment liner. I have brand new clearance lights and a new tail light. Parts I have two of dam near everything. 2 engines one rebuilt one stripped, 2 hoods, 2 sets of front fenders both in really nice condition, 2 rear axles 2 front axles. I have all 12 wheels 6 Daytons 6 Budds the Daytons are on the chassis. ( i think they look better) 2 complete sets of stainless grill trim both sets are very nice 4 headlamp buckets 2 heater units 3 sets of hub caps the list goes on and on. The floor on the passenger side of the cab was rotted out it has been comepletely repaired. I also have 2 fuel tanks. What needs to be purchased yet. Glass, wiring harness, seals and door gaskets. I also have all of the flatbed steel U-Bolts and bulkhead and bed steel is included. All in all I have $12,000.00 grand invested here and this does not count the hundreds of hours of time invested. I lost my job a year ago and things have been tough, I really hate to sell this truck but the chances of it ever getting finished are slim and I could really use the money. If you want to talk or set up and appointment to come look at the truck feel free to contact me. 570 574 7272 On Feb-25-12 at 18:24:38 PST, seller added the following information: I have been asked if I knew any of the history of this truck and as a matter of fact I do. The truck was purchased by the Wester Lumber Comany of Mountaintop PA. in 1949. The truck was purchased from Hanover International in Hanover Pa. The Hanover near Wilkes Barre not the one below York. The owner was George Wester and he purchased the truck new and paid 1247.00 with the flatbed installed. ( prety good deal for a brand new truck) I am the second owner. The Wester lumber company for years cut mine timbers for the Blue Coal company acording to George Wester junior. I was told it took about 4 hours to make the round trip from Mountaintop to Nanticoke and back. It was approximately 18 miles!! Acording to George the roads were very bad and once at the mines the truck had to be unloaded by hand. In later years strip mining became popular and there was no longer much of a need for shoreing timbers. Soon the Wester lumber Company switched gears and started producing lumber for building homes and other structures. The truck I am selling was run up untill the time George senior died. This was his truck and was used very little after his death. When I bought it in 2006 it had been parked for some 40 years. It still amazes me that a truck that is 63 years old can be in such good shape after all of this time.
