Ahh,now here is something for you ROCKFORD FILES fans,a 1978 pontiac firebird solar gold metallic with saddle tan interior like the Firebird Jim Rockford drove in his pursuits to solve cases from '78 to 1980.Although the car was not originally solar gold,the car is a 98% rust free solid original built in Van Nuys Ca.It is equiped with the 305 ci Chevrolet engine,automatic transmission and power steering.It has an am/fm radio and tach cluster and optional 8 track player in the console.It is not equiped with a/c or power windows.The paint is approximately 10 years old and shows well for its age.The interior is all original and has one split on the drivers bottom cushion seam barely noticeable and a new replacement headliner comes with the car.The car runs and drives very well and always gets compliments.The reproduction 853-OKG California license plates come with the car as well as other rockford items pictured.The car has been garage kept and covered when not used.So all you Rockford fans out there,here is your chance to go out there make a J-turn or two and solve those $200.00 a day cases like Jim did back in the 70s with style and maybe even get paid once in a while for your work.Last 5 pictures are stills from the TV show,not the actual car in auction.All questions will gladly be answered and can arrange for inspections of the car for interested parties.I reserve the right to end the auction early due to the vehicle being for sale locally.Thank you all for viewing the listing,hope you enjoy.Good luck and happy bidding!!!On Feb-26-12 at 21:23:06 PST, seller added the following information: Update: The date and time are oviously incorrect.They were taken last summer and the car has been used very little since then.I am currently thinning out my collection,therefore some of my vehicles must go.Keep me on your favorites, other cars will be listed in the near future.......
