SPECIAL ORDER PAINT FROM THE FACTORY CHAUFFEUR DRIVEN CAR 1968 CADILLAC FLEETWOOD ONE OF THE NICEST IN THE US !!! 66,000 original miles Just completed, this beautiful, Fleetwood was sold to Mr. & Mrs. Elroy Hein of Clintonville, Wisconsin October 23, 1967. Our research shows they were wealthy Wisconsin farmers. It remained under the ownership of Mrs. Hein until Owner #2 purchased the car in 2010. The story of the car is Mrs. Hein wanted a bright red Cadillac Fleetwood and that color was not available. Mr. Hein special ordered a car from the factory as you could do back then.The trim tag has the paint code "00" which designates the special order paint. This car is also highly optioned with four power vent windows, auto dim headlights and the oldest car I have had with a factory AM/FM radio. FM radio was just getting started in the late 60's. It is the understanding of Owner #2 that Mrs. Hein was driven by her chauffeur throughout the lifetime of this car under her ownership. It has traveled only 66K miles since Elroy drove it home... Impeccable care by its two owners over the last 44 years has preserved this beautiful car in excellent condition. This Fleetwood is a rust free, accident free car just repainted in its factory special order Bright Red. Excellent original cream leather interior (front seat was just reupholstered).
