Vehicle Detail
1973 VW Beetle Convertible. Shows 37000 miles but I do not think it is real mileage. The car has was restored in the past and is of driver quality now. I purchased the vehicle at auction. It had a Carb fire and burned the hood paint and a little bit of the rear cowl hence the salvage title... I left it unpainted to show the minimal amount of damage done to the vehicle. I cleaned the engine compartment, rebuilt the carb, re wired it etc. The same carb was reused again telling you that it really was not damaged very much. If you have the rear hood painted you will have a nice driver quality beetle Convertible. The interior is all there and has no rips or tears in the seats etc. All the lights work... I am not a VW expert but I was told that it has the curved windshield and the dual port engine makes it the better model. The car runs great and has nearly new tires. It has a full Bra for the front I have not put back on yet. The paint where it has been on it is a little yellow looking I would suppose from the Bra never being taken off? This is not a new car. If you are looking for a perfect restored car this is not it. I tinker on cars on the weekends as a hobby. I am not a body man but I really think the hood just needs to be sanded and painted. I do not think it is warped at all. The car is definitely not rusty and all beaten up but again not perfect... Let me know if you have any questions. On Feb-20-12 at 13:21:22 PST, seller added the following information: Please do not pay attention to the guy that just posted a neg mark on my profile. I told the guy three times "DO NOT BUY THE TRUCK", that it was not the truck he was looking for and he bought it anyway about $5000 under retail book. Please contact me and I will speak with you personally about it or anything about the Beetle you wish. It is just an unfortunate situation. I should have stopped the sale when I found out it was him...On Feb-22-12 at 18:44:38 PST, seller added the following information: I just realized the add has the Title as a Lemon manufacturer buy back? I am not sure how I did that? The add will not let me change it. It has a Previously Salvage title from NE in my name. I am sorry for the mistake. I did not notice it until now. I can scan it and email it to you if anyone wants to see it.
