You are viewing a beautiful 1966 Ford Thunderbird Town Coupe. This T-bird was owned and built by my late grandfather, so I don't have all the details about its restoration process. If you have questions, I will do my best to answer them, but I encourage bidders to view the car in person before bidding. I will try to explain as much information as I can below. The car had a frame-up restoration a few years ago and sports a beautiful turquoise finish with matching interior. I believe the quarter panels were the only sheet metal replaced on the exterior. The interior is all original except for the new carpet. The interior chrome pieces are also in great shape. Judging by the undercarriage, I would say the passenger side floor pan was replaced at one time, but I can't confirm. All the exterior chrome has some form of pitting, but still shines nicely. The 390 V8 still runs good, but the carburetor may need minor adjusting. The Bird has 75,800 miles on the odometer, and I don’t believe the engine was ever rebuilt. Overall, I would consider this an easy project car that is 80% from being a good show car. It still turns heads wherever it goes. The car has a clear title, but no restoration paper work. My grandfather had over 50 years of bodywork experience and was very meticulous. This was just one of his last two T-Bird projects that he never got to complete.
