West Coast Classics are proud to present a rare original southern California owner example of this original southern California and still boasting its original coveted California 'Black License Plate' 1966 Ford Mustang factory GT coupe which was built in San Jose, California on June 28th, 1966 and delivered to Los Angeles, California and always obviously garaged, loved and owned since new by only one southern California owner! The car is a genuine original factory GT coupe with its original 289 4V 'A' code V8 engine in its original 'Silver Blue Metallic' color paint with original and correct GT markings and with it's original color 'Light Blue Crinkle Vinyl and White Crinkle Vinyl Pony' interior, disc brakes with factory correct large disc brake master cylinder clip-on cover, disc brakes pedal, trumpet dual exhaust system with bright chrome extensions through the rear valance panel, 4"fog lamps correctly mounted on either side of the radiator core support with correct fog lamp toggle switch under the dashboard, GT badges on front fenders, GT stripe running front to rear along the lower body with MUSTANG spelled out on fender behind front tire, 5 dial black and chrome instrument cluster with round 140mph speedometer, original C4 automatic transmission, GT correct sway bar, correct steering gear box code (HCC-AW) for correct GT quick ratio 22:1 steering (for a 3.75 full turn of steering wheel) and correct sheet metal reinforcement under rear seat as per correct factory trumpet dual exhausts. The car also has rare factory air conditioning, 'Visibility Group', power steering, white vinyl top and will be sold with all its original service records including the original 'Purchase agreement' form 'Culver Motors Ford, of Culver City, California where the car was purchased and most of its original CA registrations and it is of note that the car still retains its original California title or 'Pink Slip' issued on 9/14/1966! The original southern California owner purchased the car from 'Culver Motors Ford' of Culver City, California on 8-22-1966 for $3,750.84 and the car will be sold with its original dealer stamped owners manual. We recently purchased the car from the daughter of the original southern California owner who had owned the car since 1966 and who lovingly and with no expense spared maintained the car over the years and the car will be sold with a thick file of records of the service and history. The car drives as nice as they come with no known mechanical issues whatsoever. The car has has no signs of any accidents and there is virtually no rust apart from some very minor signs appearing on the passenger side floor of the car (see photos below). The car has power steering, air conditioning and disc brakes. The car has its original spare wheel and jack in the trunk as seen in the photos below. This particular car must be seen and driven to be fully appreciated - a seriously striking example which turns heads wherever she goes! The engine is extremely strong and responsive with excellent oil pressure and no noticeable oil leaks and which sounds absolutely magnificent with the correct GT two throaty resonators roar from the dual mufflers, the transmission shifts smoothly through the gears and the engine temperature always remains cool.
