Vehicle Detail
I am the 2nd owner of this Subaru Brat. I purchased it in 1985 with approx. 30K miles and put the extra 61K miles on it over 26 years. It is a great running vehicle and fun to drive. We just haven't used it much the last 15 years. Engine and drive train is in great condition. Runs almost perfect. Tires are very good (I would call them an 8 out of 10). The 4WD works but the button to engage it does not stick to the on position like it should when you push it. If you hold the button, it works fine. It is a 3 speed automatic. Body and paint.......Has some minor dents and scratches but not bad for a 28 year old vehicle. You can see some of the dents in the photos (like on tailgate and front of hood). Most are small like a tiny door ding. The dent on the tailgate is by far the worst. Part of rear taillight is broken. The trim is also missing from the top of the tailgate. Has not ran much in harsh conditions therefore frame and body have very little rust. Rear seats were removed and I don't have them. Topper comes with it. Interior......Due to lack of garage space it was left outside for a few years. This has caused the dash to crack as seen in photos. A/C vents have become brittle and have broken louvers. A/C still works good. Seats are good shape. Driver's seat has had the leather redone but the cloth was reused and is showing some wear, but really not bad. Windshield has a few rock chips but no cracks. All other glass is good. Removable T-tops are in good shape. All instrumentation and gauges work. If I remember right, the tach will stick for awhile when the vehicle is cold (below 25 F) but starts working after you get some heat going." Vehicle is sold "as is" with no warranty. Buyer is responsible for shipping or can pick it up. $300 paypal deposit required within 2 days of auction close. Vehicle report shows a lien on title but the title has been released from the lien by the bank and notarized. On Feb-22-12 at 13:48:22 PST, seller added the following information: The topper was originally painted to match the vehicle but it has faded worse and doesn't look as good anymore. The seal on it is deteriorating some too. Someone wanted to know how much rust there is. I added a couple more pictures of the drivers door and behind front drivers wheel (where most rust usually is). The very bottom of the door is just paint peeling off with some rust under it. No holes. This was about all I could find. Passenger side didn't have hardly any.
