I am selling my 1971 Mercedes Benz 280SE. I bought this car a year or so ago with all intentions of a full restoration but with other things going on I don't have the time or money to do it. The original owner of this car went blind and the car was parked and wasn't driven any more, hence the low low miles. When he died he had willed it to the humane society which is where I got it. I rescued this beauty, cleaned her up to the condition she is in now, I had all of the fuel lines and the tank cleaned and a new fuel pump installed...that's when I realized this breed of car isn't for anybody...they are somewhat pricey to fix. The car runs great however it does have a leaky fuel tank so I had my mechanic take the tank out. Right now the tank is out of the car and again I just haven't had the time or money to get a different one. The body of this car is in very good condition. There are very few, if any dents or dings. The paint has faded and chipped a bit but actually has a nice vintage look. The interior is in pretty decent shape...the dash is cracked in several places, along with the top of the doors(the leather material). The seats have a few small nicks or holes but aren't bad at all. The carpet is very decent too. There is very little rust on this car. It is an Automatic with electric windows, heat and a/c. I would love to eventually find an older porsche that runs so that is something I would consider if someone was interested in a trade. Please let me know if you have any questions.
