This is a beautiful 1983 Red/Black Porcshe 944. I put it in as a 1980 because Ebay wouldn't let the VIN number work. Not sure what the problem there is. Please know this is a 1983! VIN is WPOAA0941DN459456. I have a picture of the VIN so I'm not sure why eBay kicks it back. I had this "sold" on EBay last week and the buyer flaked so I'm putting it back up. Anyway...I've owned it about 18 months and driven it less than 10 times. I bought it "just for fun" and last week bought another car so I need to make room. I think it's important for you to know I am a PRIVATE SELLER. I am not a car dealer. Some of my best friends own a few local car dealerships and allowed me to put the car in their photo booth for the professional pictures so maybe that helps explain why it looks like a car dealer's car. I bought this car sight unseen from Michigan. It was delivered and I had to jump it to get it started. I put a new battery in that week and ever since it has run wonderfully. The power windows have never worked. The last owner said it needed a $200 part to fix it and I've just been too lazy to mess with it since it's a car I rarely drive. The radio also doesn't work right. It did when I bought it but it doesn't now. It comes on, accepts CD and ejects them but it just won't play. The radio comes on for about 10 seconds and then turns itself off. Those are the only 2 problems I know of. There is a very small oil leak....whenever I back the car out I notice a few drops of oil under the engine. It's been so little oil I have never worried about it. I figure on a 29 year old car I'm pretty lucky it's just a few drops. The paint is in good shape and very bright. There are a few rock chips here and there. I assume the paint is all original and well maintained but it's certainly not perfect. It's shiny, clean and nice....everyone compliments the car and seems to like it but if you really start looking you will see some imprefections like little rock chips, etc. The driver's side front quarter panel was replaced. The past owner said something on his garage fell on it and dented it enough that it needed replacing. You can tell that the paint doesn't match there. I've got 13 cars and am very picky/critical. Most normal folks wouldn't notice it but I tend to be a bit harsh. The interior is in great shape. The dash has 2 little tears above the steering wheel which are extremely common for the vintage. They are hard to see and not something that should bother you. The passenger seat "piping" is a bit wavy. Truthfully I'd have it redone if I were keeping the car. I'm a very fair guy and if the car goes for a good price I will gladly take it to our local leather shop and have them make it right. The leather is all original and truly is in very good shape. The drivers seat is great but the passenger's seat piping is a little wavy. not sure how else to describe it. I will send you pictures if you like. I assume the odometer has "rolled" but I don't know. The odometer reading on the title says "exempt". The air and heat and all the lights and stuff work fine. I have all the floormats, etc. This car will be a great driver. I'd get in tomorrow and drive it to California without a doubt in the worls that it would make it just fine. it's just a good solid car. If you have any questions let me know. If you ask me a technical question, chances are I'm not going to know the answer but I will do my best! I have all my cars washed every Saturday. It is started every week and very well taken care of. My garage is air conditioned and it's lived a very comfortable life for the past 18 months. Happy Bidding....
