Very nice looking and driving 1984 Alfa Spider with a quality quadrifoglio body kit. This car was well maintained by my neighbor who is a pilot and worked on the Alfa himself. It shows 59,500 miles, but the history report indicates that this is likely not accurate. The car burns no oil and always starts immediately, even after sitting. The car is not perfect, but it is nice enough to make a moderately detail-oriented owner an ideal Sunday driving convertible. I bought the car last summer, but I also bought a newer 911 and have decided I don't need both. It has been in storage and started monthly. From the photos, you can see that the Alfa has good, newer paint and a nearly new top. I'm guessing it was painted in 2006 when carfax indicates a minor front accident. The Goodyear Eagles are also like new. There is some rust bubbling right above each of the rear wheels and a touched up section along the driver's door. There is a small paint imperfection in front of the driver's mirror (all imperfections are shown in the photos). All of these paint issues are minor and only visible on close inspection. The paint quality in general is very good, with no drips or evidence of overspray. All glass and chrome are excellent as well. The top is like new with a small edge rub from folding by the passenger window. The interior is excellent, but as you can see from the photos the previous owner put in perfect taupe seats and door panels (and possibly carpet) from another Spider that don't exactly match the tan console. I should note here that this was in keeping with the owner's general philosophy about this car - he wanted a clean, good running Alfa but he wasn't setting it up for Pebble Beach. The photos show the color difference as more obvious than it is in person - most passengers would never notice and the seats are literally like new. As is the carpet and the rest of the interior, including door panels. Everything electronic works except for the horn. Windows roll up slowly. The aftermarket stereo with remote functions well. The wooden wheel is perfect. It has a dash cap, but there is only one crack in the original dash. Trunk is clean with no rust on the metal. It appears to have been always garaged. Shifts well, good clutch, engine has power and sounds nice with the chrome-tipped Ansa exhaust, and it does have replacement springs that seem to be set up for better handling. When it hasn't been driven for a month the transmission seems to shudder a little bit from a dead stop, but this goes away almost immediately. Drips a small amount of oil. The chassis seems to shake a bit over bumps, but again I'm not sure if this is normal. You can get a feel for the driving experience from the video. I'm pricing it at what I feel is the correct price for a nice driving Spider of this vintage with a solid body and some minor cosmetic imperfections. I wouldn't be afraid of driving this car a long distance if you're up for an adventure.
