Vehicle Detail

For the records, this auction ends with NO RESERVE on this tuesday evening. I will NOT be available from this friday night thru sunday night. Please plan accordingly. Thanks! You've rarely seen them.....but you've always wanted one! Here's your chance...and at NO RESERVE!! Yes...this is a professional custom creation! I get THUMBS UP from people EVERYWHERE I go in this thing! Who new it'd be so popular?? I just bought it to haul stuff around but I just bought an F-250 4x4 instead since I needed a plow truck...my loss, you gain! Starting out as a former low mile ambulance, the rear box was removed in favor of a true CREW cab housing and an 8foot Dually F-350 Ford box from a 2000-up model year! It has the 7.3 IDI Turbo Diesel that is super easy to maintain and lasts forever! Not to mention this one has LOW miles at 164k! Think about the history....ALL service ambulances MUST be maintained on a regular basis. Whether it needs it or not, stuff gets replaced no matter. Look closely and you can still see the front bumper siren horns intact! Hook em up for some fun! The front section of the truck has an average paintjob on it...I recently had it professionally detailed but paint is only as good as it's applied. The paint is close in match and shine but the hood is lightly faded and there are chips here and there. There are some rock chips on the hood and a few scratches....overall a great 10footer! Looks great from 10 feet away! The bed is the factory Ford job and looks awesome! Below you can see the only 2 used tires up front. Easily 60% left. I've also installed the awesome looking Ford 16" aluminum semi-looking rims! Way nicer than the steelys and simulators! Full sized matching spare wheel is included! I have well over $1200 in used rims and new rear tires on this rig! ALL the tires are matching Firestone Transforce HT 245/85/16 tires. In my opinion the safest best tires for these trucks...also little taller for a smoother ride and hopefully a tad better fuel mileage (225/75/16 came on the truck)! Unseen are the new front rotors, calipers and brakes. Also the front springs still have the manual fill airbags too! For the records, I've had the front upper and lower ball joints and rod ends inspected. No slop. All is well. The truck actually drives very straight with no massive pulling or wandering. It also looks to have had recent steering stabilizer shock replacement. Above...if you look hard enough...you can see the baseball sized rust bubble just behind the fender seam under the driver's sill. This is the only noticeable visible rust area on the truck. The rear cab area is fiberglass. Altho there is a random shift "pop" noise from the left rear corner mount(usually under start and stop), it was installed properly with no leaks...neither noise or water. Black trim around rear glass windows can easily be repainted for that perfect look. I just never got around to it. Note the rear tinted slider. Those are brand spankin new tires in the back!! Literally 200miles on em!! Rims are all balanced too. You KNOW how much these tires are a piece...I bought four of em! That isn't rust below (fiberglass rear fenders, remember?)...it's mud...my driveway is horrible this time of year! Altho the passenger side has one, this side is clearly missing the mudflap. Notice...no rear differential leakage or oil stains. The truck comes with the monster trailer hitch and setup. Truck has BOTH the normal plug-ins (round connector and 4-pin flat)...but...here is one thing the truck needs....a rewire under the back for the tailights and trailer lighting. It's kind of a rats nest to be honest. The left turn signal and brake lights work, but the right side doesn't. Parking lighting works front and rear as do the front turn signals. I never got around to doing it with this cold weather we've been having. NO RESERVE don't forget! 3" straight thru Exhaust sounds great....no muffler and only a resonator. 8 foot bed looks a bit ugly but is super solid. Please remember this bed was added and NOT made for this chassis...so underneath there is plenty of steel box bracing to make it right....with the exception of the rearward section. For whatever reason (looks to be because of the fuel tank) they decided NOT to brace it on the second to last beam (not the one at the tailgate). It has sagged down a little here. I was planning to throw in a bedliner and call it a day as I only haul a few bikes back here. You can clearly see the spare rim with matching sized tire. Under that, you CANT see the 5th wheel plate and hooks. The only thing missing is the ball....so it's nearly ready for your 5th wheel camper or trailer. The rubber mat does a nice job of hiding some of the ugly...but it's a truck, remember!?! The aluminum box is SUPER big inside! It's also bolted to the floor. It has dual latches with locks, but I don't have the key. Easy to get one made. It also has the hood shocks for smooth operation. No....you DO NOT get the straps and goodies inside!! The box will be empty when you pic the truck up. I've only been using the truck for towing car with my tow dolly and it's been great! Can't even tell there's a car and trailer behind me! Please remember, this chassis used to have a heavy ambulance box on it...now it doesn't. The rear is VERY stiff and prefers to be loaded down! Hence...empty, it rides like a truck! The interior is super nice....plenty of what you need, nothing of what you don't! Damage free from front to back...altho the front portion of the carpet has seen better days...time for replacement. Cloth seats with swing down armrests. Power windows and locks. Cd player. Coin holder. Cup and junk holder. Rear seat folds down for a nice bed just like in a conversion van. BANKS Diesel Boost and Exhaust Temp gauges. Electric brake controller (not hooked up I don't think). The transmission works flawlessly altho coming to a stop, the OD light will flash. As soon as I tap the gas, it stops. I know this means there may be a problem, but underneath there is a BANKS trans controller. I didn't look into it but maybe THAT's the reason?? Like the ECU thinks a trans issue because the controller is stealing the signal? It honestly dosn't slip a hair...it shifts tight, but not slamming. It shifts the same every time, hot or cold and downshifts properly too! Fluid is clean as a brand new bottle. Just disclosing everything I know about this truck as I've logged EASILY 2000 miles on it! I haven't experienced a single trans prob with this truck. I was told the steering column ususally can be the culprit...since the wiring goes thru there and will rub together over the years....this would explain why the cruise doesn't consistently work too! Ignition works. Wipers work. Climate control/blower works properly. Heat works great. ICE COLD AIR CONDITIONING works great too! Below you can see the oil pressure is great. Temp never gets any higher than what you see. NO dummy lights on during run. BIG ambulance alternator easily charges BOTH batteries. Main power kill switch sits under the driver's seat facing the door, if needed. Recent starter starts the trucks EASILY every time! The "WAIT TO START" light doesn't stay lit up anymore. Suggesting there is a bad glow plug. It started the truck fine when I got it but literally 2weeks ago, failed. I just leave the truck plugged into the heater and it fires right up within seconds! A diesel forum says you can do a manual pushbutton to simply hold the plugs "ON" for 10seconds instead of replacing the plugs...but this motor is soooo easy to work on compared to the Powerstroke 7.3!! Above you can see the front carpet is shot. Wood grain compliments the interior. Dashboard and door panels have no cracks or damages, altho there are a few screw holes from what looked to be a mount up front, middle, next to vent. Remember...you get the spare. You get the made in USA box, but you DO NOT get what's inside the box!! You can see the nice and clean engine compartment. Not going to win any car shows, but looks and functions great! I just recently cleaned the K&N type aftermarket filter and changed the oil/filter when I got it. Coolant is clean. No signs of any oil or coolant or trans fluid leaks. The power steering had what seemed to be a seal leak, but I added that Lucas Power Steering fix and it seems to be fine now..even in the cold! The power steering pump is a bit tough to get to on this, being a van. No, it's not the famous "Powerstroke" but if you've ever had to fix anything on a Powerstroke, you can buy 5 of these motors! I've worked on these IDIs before....same International company....but the IDIs are much more simple in my opinion. Parts are cheap and they run and run and run. A few years back I had a NON-turbo IDI hydrolocking due to a collapsed lifter. Drove it that way. Then I rebuilt it with a new set of lifter, gaskets, etc...NEVER worked on an IDI let alone a diesel before!! Super easy and it is STILL on the road with over 300k miles!! Seriously! I just saw it at auction years after I sold it! Solid motors and THIS is "THE ONE" to have with the turbo and all! So...to recap....recent starter. 11-15 MPG all day depending on how you drive. I've seen as high as 18 on the highway at 65mph. Truck is smooth even at 75mph! Keep it plugged in to the block heater and the truck fires right up! Strong batteries. Cold air intake. 3" straight exhaust. NEW front rotors, calipers, pads (ABS works but will need new ABS rings on the backs of the rotors to work properly-you need to remove them to replace rotors I was told). Nice front tires. Spare included. BRAND NEW REAR TIRES. Needs rear lighting re-wire. Possible steering column rewire (while you're in there, I was told to rebuild shifter assembly because they get loose over time and use) to get cruise to work and possibly get OD flashing off...or just leave it if you choose. Keep an eye on the power steering. Most likely needs one rear body bushing to eliminate random pop noise. Wire in manual glow plug switch. ICE COLD AIR CONDITIONING! HOT HEAT! Power windows and locks. Add your 5th wheel ball to the floor plate. HAUL ANYTHING ANYWHERE ANYTIME! Motor is strong, doesn't smoke a lick while idling or driving. Transmission is strong and solid. With a few safety things to complete above this monster is over 95% ready to go!! I've used it this way to haul stuff for over 2000 miles without a single problem!! BID BUY DRIVE ANYWHERE WITH 100% CONFIDENCE!! Read my EXCELLENT feedback! NO WORRIES!! NO RESERVE!! GOOD LUCK!! I apologize in advance if I sound like I'm scolding....but this NEEDS to be said. This vehicle is AS-IS/AS-SHOWN. The vehicle is in Illinois being sold by a dealer. I CANNOT BE RESPONSIBLE for your individual state's "inspection" or emissions compliance. I am simply trying to offer you and possibly your family a quality reliable vehicle. 690,000 cars were pulled from our roads during the Cash For Clunkers "program"....like most Americans, I still can't afford a new car and now have to sell(and drive)from what's left. I sell $3000-$6000 vehicles...all types and mostly what I would personally drive or own. I don't know if you are buying down the street or in Virginia or California...so I HAVE to make the cars ready for the road trip. I don't know who will be driving the car....so I HAVE to make it ready for your teen or your job in the morning. I can only promise I do the BEST that I can with what I have and what I sell. My EXCELLENT FEEDBACKS prove it. I'm not here to rip people off. I'm also here to help so feel free to contact me after purchase for anything....or even if you have any questions about a future purchase. Also, understand that I spend many countless hours (inspecting, repairing, cleaning, taking pics and writing specific personal ads) for everything I sell...not to mention the $125 sell fee that is charged to me at the end. Please don't jack around if you don't plan to go thru with the purchase. Thanks for your understanding. Now you're at the bottom. Hopefully I've covered the main specifics of the vehicle and eased your mind. I understand that you are putting yourself or your loved ones in this vehicle. I personally have put my own mother in an 01 C70 with 175k miles and I personally drive a 98 S70 with 220k miles! Many of my personal friends drive cars that I have sold them. I treat you no different. If I haven't covered any of your questions or concerns, please feel free to email or call me at 815.744.7223. My name is Eric. Please understand that I have the right to end the auction early due to local sale. I STILL REQUIRE a $500 deposit to be made within 24hours. If you need to use Paypal, you MUST contact me and follow my specific deposit instructions for the non-refundable Paypal deposit payment. Paypal performs random funding "holds" (for a min of 21days to 180days) that only benefits them and does NOT protect my or your interests. Of course I understand each bidder/buyer has different payment needs. We work with you as much as possible regarding payment but CASH IS KING! Sorry....no financing is available on this transaction. Please secure your own from you bank of choice BEFORE bidding. Remember....24 hours $500 deposit due....3 days for payment in FULL. Naturally I will assist in ANY shipping needs!
