HONDA C 70 PASSPORT Ready to ride . I'm the second owner of this bike , i purchased it from the original owner in 2003 , he was an elderly college professor who had just retired , he told me that he lived very near to the college where he taught and that he had used this bike for transportation to the campus , and that he allways kept this bike inside . his reason for getting rid of it was that he had gotten older and did not feel comfortable ridding it anymore . I have just recently installed new tires and tubes of the exact factory replacement size and style , it has new battery , also while i was replacing the tires i also replaced the brakeshoes with original honda brakes just as a prevenative maintanence measure , and all the services are up to date. This is the last year that these were imported to the US , and this model was quite improved over the earlier models , for example the 1983 model came with a 12 v electric start rather than the 6 volt on previous years , and another great feature is that it came standard with the solid state CDI ignition . It comes with clear title , owners manual , and even has the Novelty Passport card that came with it when it was sold new . Shipping on this bike would vary from location , but i would think that someone like kevin at Collins transport could deliver this to about anywhere in the states for about 400.00 max . I will be glad to assist in having it picked up , or could bring it part of the way up to a few hundred miles for fuel cost and small fee . , Or it can be picked up here if buyer so desires . Also would like to say i have really enjoyed this bike over the last 8 or 9 years i have had it but now i'm ready to let it have another happy home . And questions please let me know . Thanks ! On Feb-10-12 at 11:18:39 PST, seller added the following information: Also i had a lot of questions about the detailed condition of this machine so i thought i would elaborate more on the detailed condition This Honda is ready to ride , i have kept it in ready to ride condition during the time i have owned it which is about 9 years now ,i have allways used the genuine honda oil when it is serviced . This bike is clean it does not have any fluid leaks whatsoever . the engine is quite , it runs and shifts smooth , and with the new tires it really handles and maneuvers very well , the exhaust is solid with no leaks ,the paint is very good with no fadeing , i have ridden this to work on occasion , i have had this bike registered and insured and i have even had it acompany me on vacation on a coulple occasions , I have even recently had this bike at my office space on display as a collector item , and believe me it has got a lot of attention , and a lot of comments .
