Did you know nearly every movie has a Volvo in it? Didn't notice?? You will now! Looking for a perfect 2nd car, daily driver, or your 16 year old's first?? You've found it! Excellent running and driving. FRESH NEW timing belt and tensioner....so fresh it hasn't been installed yet!! I'm actually waiting for the tensioner to show up....that means it will have ZERO miles on it when you pick the car up! I also will be installing a driver's side strut mount! Fresh spark plugs....clean fluids....recent tires...excellent brakes....ICE COLD air and HOT HEAT....heated seats too!! You could buy a stripped down Honda Civic....but why?? This car is turn key...as ALL my vehicles are...ready to drive ANYWHERE! Exterior of the car is decent....front and rear bumper covers have seen better days. Mostly just parking lot bumps, paint flakes and bruises. No holes, cut, tears or damages. Body has only a handful of dings...very hard to see with the silver color. I'm no bodyman, but there looks to have been some minor body repair done in a few spots. Nothing that jumps out...mostly the the bumper covers (repainted at one time) and a little paint flakes here and there on body edges. Remember....perfect for what or who you are buying it for!! Below you can see the very recent Goodyear tires on vibration free rims. These tires are the optional size larger than stock...helps out in the MPG and smoother ride departments! Hard to see under the rim via the picture, but the brakes are pretty recent on unwarped rotors...nice and smooth and strong when needed. Hood and roof are very nice. No signs of damages. Hood is missing a wiper squirter altho the hose is underneath still. Sunroof has an issue....altho it opens and closes as you see it, the rear hinge must be broken....it won't slide back (it binds) and at highway speeds, it starts to push itself open....since nothing is there to hold it down properly. I took this pic to show it works....but will be clear taping it down for your ride home. I know nothing about these or where to get replacement parts so if you plan to use it properly, it will need repair. As stated, the rear bumper cover is chipped up, but no major damages, so repainting will be easy. Also...there are NO SIGNS of any visible rust anywhere on this car. The S40 line was prone to a little here and there, but this one seems rust-free! Below you can see the worst of the front cover...headlight wipers are missing as well....they usually break from age and car washes. Find a set on ebay and bolt em back on! The interior is the nicest aspect of this car...easily a 9 out of 10. No cut or holes in the leather. Driver's bolster is tip top. All the power items (except sunroof) work properly as expected. It does, however, have the typical posessed climate control....where the fan adjusts speed on its own. This unit is easily replaceable in about 10mins. But...as a part of your purchase (and thanks to the internet) I place to attempt the "re-solder" repair that is supposed to work. Worst case, it doesn't Where does this leave you?? The AC and heat work properly, just the fan likes to jump around different speeds. Hardly noticable and you get the hang of it once your desired temperature is reached. Used ones on Ebay are $20-$100 and this item came in the 2001-2004 cars (not 2000). Hopefully my repair works and there won't be any need to go further. Bonus for you. Below you will notice ALL the dummy lights illuminate upon startup with none on during run. I also replaced the flex-pipe in the exhaust. Again...typical failure on these cars and you get a new one. This leak caused the "check engine" light to come on. I turned the light off and it hasn't come back on...altho I can guarantee it won't come on again. There was only a code for the O2 sensor reading low and a "timing over-retard" code. I blame the timing belt as it looked to be the original unit. Should stay gone now with the new belt installed. Unseen...the full spare setup is intact. So....new timing belt and tensioner(Contitech brand with new date tag too). Water pump is fine, no leaks. New spark plugs. Note the Volvo replacement battery....all signs of Recent Volvo dealership servicing (probably traded the car instead of paying the cost of timing belt replacement). No signs of any major oil or coolant leaks. No overheating. Oil is clean. Trans fluid is clean. Coolant looks recently flushed. Trans shifts and operates properly. New driver's strut mount. No slop or noises from the suspension. Car drives straight and smooth. Only a teeny tiny buzz at or around idle due to the recent "tightness" of the new flexpipe. This will go away over time. One factory manual and only one key are included. Sorry no keyfobs. Air filter is clean. All the lights work. Power windows, locks, seats, etc work. I've completed ALL the necessities...All you have to do is bid to win!! BID BUY AND DRIVE ANYWHERE WITH 100% CONFIDENCE!! NO RESERVE!!
