I am listing my 1965 MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE for sale. I am letting everyone know upfront: IT IS A CLONE GT This is a manuel steering no power brakes car. It was born a 6 cyl auto trans. It has all 5 lug axles front & rear, V8 springs & all new suspension parts. When I bought the the car it already had a V8 in it, this motor is a 1974 302 with an edelbrock intake and a 390 HOLLEY carb. The engine was built 3 years ago this May when the car was restored. Bored .030 over new cast pistons, standard crank, all new bearings; crank,rods & cam. New 271 horse 289 hyd cam. Factory trans c4 was rebuilt at this time. I used a professional body shop for the restoration of the car which also included body work, paint, and the following: new one piece floor pan, new 1 piece trunk pan & tail panel. I have pictures of most of the body work while it was being restored. We replaced both L&R sail panels, brakes have been replaced with bendex brand front & rear. Cooling system is all new, (radiator, water pump, hoses and belt, and heater core). Fuel system is also new (tank, lines, pump & rebuilt carb). The interior was also replaced during the restoration with pony interior. This is not a factory pony interior car. My wife and I have driven this car around 2500 miles since restoration. We have driven to gulf shores, cruzin the coast and to local car shows around home. This is a car that my wife drives more than I do. She enjoys the turn key and go ease of it.
