Vehicle Detail

2005 HONDA ODYSSEY EX-L, 1 OWNER. Very well maintained & fully loaded with Navigation, rear-view camera, Leather seats and rear entertainment/DVD, power moonroof, more. 100% ready for long distance travel. Located in Zionsville, Indiana (Indianapolis area) Purchased new in August, 2005 by my in-laws who have upgraded to a 2012 Honda Pilot. They are extensive travelers who have used the van primarily for long distance trips. This loaded cruiser has 180,420 miles with an overwhelming amount of those miles being on the interstate. The amount of highway travel is supported by the fact that this van hasn't required new brake pads (ever) until just last month. Fully loaded:255 hp V6 engine with variable cylinder management5-speed auto transmission4-wheel disc brakes (complete brake service performed 2012)Front & passenger airbags plus side curtainstability controlAnti-lock brakingSecurity systemXM radio/CDDual zone climate controlCruise controlPower driver's seatHeated front seatsSeating for 8Power windows/locksRemote side-door opener on remoteUnderfloor storage w/ lazy susanFloor mats2nd row sun-shades16" alloy wheelsPremium after-market removable cargo protector custom molded to fit this model.MORE!! (See window sticker in photos) HISTORY & CONDITION: This Odyssey has never been in an accident or flood. Garage kept. All body panels and paint are original - no rust. The van was serviced by the owner's local Honda dealership and the van comes with a thick file with all the records. There has never been any indication of this van ever requiring major repair. The motor & transmission run smooth. The optional variable cylinder management system automatically powers down 2 cylinders at highway cruising speed saving gas - the van has consistently averaged 25mpg over the life of the van. This van has no fluid leaks. The timing belt & water pump were replaced at 108,628 miles. All 4 tires are Michelin Energy LX4's. Comes with 2 keys and 2 fully functional remotes. New 100-month battery installed January, 2011. Full brake service & transmission fluid change performed at 179,310 miles. In preparation for sale, the interior will be professionally detailed by Impressive Image Detailers (Carmel, IN) this week. ALL gauges, buttons, functions, options work like new. The van has never been smoked in. Due Diligence: This 2005 Honda Odyssey has been a great van with an excellent mechanical maintenance history. Most maintenance work has been done at Honda dealerships with full documentation provided with the van. However, the buyer should be aware this is not a new van. In the interest of disclosure, the following should be noted:Tire tread life is "fair" (see photos). Due to nail damage to one of the tires, it was replaced so that replacement tire is fairly new. The other 3 tires will likely require replacement within 10-15,000 miles. There are 2 very small chips in the windshield (passenger side). See photo...you might be able to see them. The chips have not bothered the current owners.I noticed there's a slight steering pull to the right. The current owner had not noticed it. I'd recommend a standard realignment with the next tire replacement. The back end of the right front quarter panel near the front passenger door sticks out slightly. The owner believes this is due to an incorrect jack placement when a flat tire was replaced a few years ago. The dealership suggested it be ignored as can be seen in the photos, it's a minor cosmetic issue. There is a scratch on the back (by the rear handle/license plate) that has been repaired with touch-up paint. The Honda dealer service center has made numerous attempts to repair the dreaded check engine light that appears to be a recurring issue with Honda vans. The occurence for this van is documented in the service records. The dealer has tested the O2 sensors and evap system and can't find a permanent fix and has advised the owner to ignore it. The light is currently off but it may (or may not) reappear in the next few hundred miles. PICK-UP/DELIVERY: The van is located in Indianapolis (Zionsville which on the NW side of Indy) and must be picked up within 10 days of auction end. Payment can be made by cash or money order issued by a bank. A faxed copy or e-mailed image of your check must be received before the van is picked up so that I may confirm authenticity with the issuing bank. Please contact me within 24 hours of auction end so we may discuss pick-up arrangements. PLEASE - serious bidders only!! I have tried my best to be up front about any "blemishes" - please do not bid unless you are willing to go through with the purchase. Please check out my 100% positive feedback and bid confidently. Please feel free to ask questions. On Feb-08-12 at 17:41:47 PST, seller added the following information: I received a question from someone who wanted to know if there were scratches underneath the radio controls (see pictures). Actually, the marks were not scratches and the marks (ketchup?) were removed by the detailer who finished with the van on Tuesday. The inside has now been detailed and it looks spectacular! I now regret not getting the van detailed before taking the photos! If anyone wishes to see the van prior to the auction end, please let me know. (Saturday is preferred.) Thanks and good luck.
