Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is this very good condition, running & driving 4 wheel drive 1941 Dodge WC ½ ton Power Wagon. The 1941 Power Wagon was produced in many different models (WC-1 through WC-11). Originally, the 1941 Power Wagon was built for only one year by Dodge for troop transport and light-cargo duty during World War II, but typical of most military vehicles, many of these trucks didn't return to the U.S. at the end of the war, making this a very rare truck. Engine The Power Wagon has plenty of get-up and go with this fully remanufactured (no miles or hours on it) SBC (350 cid) built from a mid 80’s truck with 4 bolt main (engine code 14016-207). This engine runs great with 50 psi oil pressure at operating temperature. Equipped with a Carter (Edelbrock style) 4 bbl Carb; Edelbrock intake manifold; Long tube exhaust headers; Glass pack mufflers; Pertronix Ignition with flame thrower coil; Stainless steel flex fan; New radiator core; Gas tank cleaned and sealed; 12 volt alternator and professional upgrade of electrical system. Chassis Stock 4 speed transmission and transfer case; Hydraulic clutch (new slave & master); front and rear axles have been upgraded to 1964 Dodge Power Wagon 8 lug bolt rims. These are DANA 60 (BOM 602550) axles. We have only tested the 4 wheel drive for functionality and found no issues to report. The current tires are BFG 37-12.5 x 16.5 and show about 80% tread. Original knee action shocks have been retained. Brakes work great with a new master cylinder and new rubber brake hoses up front. Brake lines and the system have been flushed and new brake fluid added. Heavy duty towing assembly is attached to rear of frame. Steering column is also out of a 64 Power Wagon. Wiring & Interior The interior includes a decent headliner and a real nice, comfortable seat with a new cover (not original, however). Power Wagon comes with all new professionally installed 21 circuit wiring harness and Dolphin gauges including tachometer. All lights work including new tail lights, turn signals, and headlamps, and a new functioning horn. Included in the sale is the original dash which could easily be welded back in if the original gauges (included in the sale) are going to be used. Original heater goes with the truck as well. Odometer reading at 16,480 miles. Not known if this is accurate Body & Paint As the pictures show, this is a very solid body, no rotten areas. There is some rust which is in the normal places. The bed is complete and in pretty good shape with all of its wood but has been covered with a sheet metal plate. Rear pockets and tailgate will need straightening. There is a dent in the passenger side cabin roof. Wagon has been repainted with this tan color many years ago. Grill was also chromed at one time. Ready to Drive This is a very solid truck. You can jump in and take it for a drive & enjoy all the while you are doing your restoration to the next level. Better yet, for those of you in the snow, how about backing this bad boy off the transporter and taking it off into the snow and playing? With this modern V8, the gnarly tires & 4WD, this is pretty much an unstoppable truck. Successful bidder will be provided with a bill of sale only. Buyer is fully responsible for VIN verification and paying all registration, sales tax and motor vehicle fees. Vehicle is not registered at this time. This is a no warranty, no refund sale. We have tried to give bidders a clear presentation of the Power Wagon condition.
