This is a very nice solid garage kept car from an estate sale in 2008. Current NADA value on this car is between 2800 (poor) to 6300.00 (excellent). Depending on which internet search you do there were only 703 to 780 of these special edition units made during the 1979 year. This car is all original and numbers matching and never been in an accident. On a scale of 1 (poor) to 5 (excellent), this car is between 3.5 or 4. This car will require minor restoration before it is showroom new again. Engine is a 351 Windsor with a C6 3 speed automatic, 3.23 ratio open end differential. This car is very rare and still in very nice shape. The body is solid, engine has typical blow-by, no knocks or mechanical issues. Transmission shifts fine, smooth and in proper rpm ranges and does not slip. Rear tires were purchased new in 2008 and comes with a 1979 set of studded snow tires. The Front tires have 60 to 70 % tread. Interior is the highy desired and rare Chamois (color) cloth interior with the 60/40 split bench front seat. This car is completely drivable and since its purchase, this car has been driven approximately 3000 miles. This is a low reserve unit as it needs to sell as local buyer backed out. Car has been on outside store secured lot since 2009, yet due to multiple military missions did not allow me to restore as I originally planned. I do not have the current time needed to restore and would like to see this car go to someone that appreciates Thunderbirds of this style and year. All electrical items, lights, locks, doors, windows, mirrors or etc… work and is completely streetable. Car is currently plated with the Indiana BMV as an Antique vehicle.
