Okay!! I am selling my beloved tour van! I bought this at 77,000 miles and put about 27,000 miles on it myself. I am a musician and my band and I used this vehicle for numerous cross country tours. Being that this vehicle was responsible for the lives and safety of me and some of my closest friends I took EXTREME measures to ensure it's proper maintenance, repair and upkeep (not to mention love). So why am I selling it? Things have gone well for me and I am now in need of a bigger vehicle for tour. We now tour in Sprinter Vans or busses that are hired and come with tour managers and drivers etc so as much as I don't want to sell my beloved Dodge I do not use it any more. In November of 2010 I had over $3,000.00 of work done on the van. New Ball Joints, Brakes, Bearings, Alternator (so much stuff that I won't list it here, I just attached the invoice as a picture so you can see for yourself)...basically I told them what I tell the mechanic every time I take it in. That this van is keeping me safe so go over it and fix everything that needs to be fixed. That was in November 2010, 14 months ago. The van has not been driven outside of my neighborhood or registered since that time. All of the parts are brand new, the tires are HEAVY DUTY thick sidewalled tires designed to carry heavy loads (we never used a trailer, all the gear inside). The transmission was rebuilt around 84,000 miles and I also installed heavy duty shocks about 4 years ago (again, to keep the van stable with a heavy load). Now, the fun stuff. Because we were always on such long trips I had a few creature features installed. First is an automatic starter. Perfect for the cold weather when I wanted to stay in the hotel and have the van warm itself up for 15 minutes before hitting the road. Next is the 12 disc CD changer and high end speaker system complete with remote control. The van also has a TV, VCR with aux input for DVD player. Track lighting on the ceiling and sides (or 'Limo Prom' lighting as we called it). Rear air conditioning and cigarette lighters (for computers, no smoking ever happened in the van). It has TONS of huge tinted windows with great little side windows to get some air. Every window also has a shade that comes down so you can sleep if you want. Two captains chairs upfront and two right behind them and then a bench seat in the back that reclines into a bed. The front windows are automatic as well as the seats and all the locks are automatic and it comes with two sets of keys and clickers. I also had an alarm system installed (a no brainer with all the expensive gear we always had). The interior is in perfect condition. Lot's of cup holders and little cabinets. It's very luxurious. It is NOT a high top which is better for gas conservation and gets very good mileage because of the size of the V8. Ok, I think this is it. No accidents. No major damage. Serious upkeep.
