This is an all original 1959 Ford Rachero that was found sitting since 1989. Only to be been owned by 2 owners. It was purchased from the original owner in 1972, that used it at his dairy farm. The 2nd owner kept it around his horse ranch until 1985. Letting his son use it around town & then parking it in 1989 as they purchased a newer truck. Parked it in the shed & let it sit for 23+ years in the same spot. It's complete & was kept bone stock. Has it's original 223 cubic inch Straight Six / 3 speed manual. The exterior appears never to have been repainted. The original two-tone color combination April Green / Colonial White & green interior. A southern California Ford, so pretty much clean for it's age. All the original trim is still in place as well as the wheel covers. Still has all of it's orignal "FoMoCo" safety glass & in good shape for ove 50 years old. The interior is all intact including th rubber mat, weatherstripping, steering wheel, knobs & dash compartment. Looks at one time they had the seat covered. Under the hood, it's very much stock. It didnt sit all those years without being started every few years. Recently, I put a newer battery in it & ran a fresh gas can on the side -started it right up. Will need to ben gone thru but the motor starts up but doesnt drive (brakes,fuel lines,etc.). The engine is not ready to be driven. The floors are intact as well as the bed. Has the normal rust near the spare wheel, near the gas pedal & a few holes in the bed. The tailgate is in great shape inner/outer. Has the common rust that the early rancheros come with. Both of the pillars are in great shape. Overall, it''s complete & orignal 1959 Ford Ranchero. Very hard to come by in this condtion. A great candiate for a restoration or get it in running condition & drive it the way it is. A true piece of Americana at no reserve. Will need complete restoration. Being sold as a project.
