Sweet 1973 VW thing original 55851 miles. I have owned for 3 years always garaged.......Was painted by previous owner but not sure when the job was done. Paint looks great but has some flaws around edges and a few chips here and there..Engine (1600) has been rebuilt and is strong.. not sure of rebuild date. Previous owner but new floors too.(very solid)! I drove it to work today and did 70 MPH most of the way. still had a little left but didnt push it past. idles great and runs strong. Things I have done. ..new Ball joints, steering box, tie rods, steering stabilizer, shocks (all around) Drums and brakes on the front, new galvanized gas tank, rebuilt front seats, New top from The thing shop (top and frame), Tires, rebuilt carb. Engine gaskets, tuneup. Lots of new rubber all around, new lower windshield housing, windshield rubber, new fuse holder and some wiring, rebuilt parking brake, rebuilt shifter, wood floor boards, one has been cracked : ( , new glass on speedo. electronics work (lighter, speedo light, outside lighting, blinkers, emergency flasher) except the light under the boot.. may just need a bulb. Lots of parts not installed included too! lots of the repair and part books too. Other things. Never have tried to get the heater to work..
