I am selling my very clean 2002 SS Z28 Camaro. The black leather interior and glossy red paint on the car are beautiful when considering it is 10 years old. I have owned the car for a couple years and I am considering selling it since I will soon be starting a new job and have to get a car that can accommodate 3+ riders. I also collect muscle cars and have a bunch of them, so keeping the car just isn't an option. As mentioned, I have owned the car for the past couple years and it has given me NO trouble. The tires on the car are a couple months old. The car rides and drives as a performance car should without rattles or leaks. The car is very powerful and really responds if you want to have some fun (Mustangs really don't like these cars). I am older than I would like to admit and have driven the car as a daily driver without abusing it. The car gets around 25 MPG if you drive it responsibly. Again, these are very reliable performance automobiles, the LS1 is becoming a legendary power-plant for its reliability and performance potential. With a few "tweaks" these things become fire-breathers. The paint on the car is very very nice and really shows well. The car does have flowmaster exhaust which is not obnoxiously loud, but does let everyone know this is a powerful automobile. The only thing that is wrong with this car is a "Service Engine Soon" light that has been on for over a year. I had it checked by my mechanic and he told me not to worry about it, they all do this, and if the car is not running poorly or burning a great deal of fuel to run it. The car is smooth and economical. I took a picture of the RPO codes from the door and have included a decoding of a couple significant features (see the following). As you can see, the car is loaded with options. I also called SLP prior to buying the car to validate authenticity, they were able to look at the VIN and tell me when the car was received and what options were added to it (options were cosmetic and upgrades to the engine that cost an additional $3,600). As for maintenance, the car has recently been aligned (same time as the new tires were added) and I religiously change the oil by mileage vs. the "change oil" indicator that came on this model. The car has all the SS badging and SS floor mats. It has the Monsoon 200 watt radio and CD. It also has the 35 year anniversary plate in the dash. So, if you want a very nice running and great looking performance car that gets a GREAT DEAL of attention, this one will be hard to beat. Update 1/20/2012 -> Number of folks have asked about the "Service Engine Soon" warning light so I plan to take the car to Advance and get the sense code for the warning and post it in the listing. The light came on (as a guess) at around 42,000 miles and has not inhibited performance or economy of the car. If you reset it, it will typically stay off for a couple days of daily driving and then come back on. I will post an update soon.
