1972 VW WESTFALIAYou're looking at a classic 1972 Volkswagen Westfalia. This bus has had more than 400 man hours in its lengthy and tedious restoration. Its restoration includes but is not limited to:Disassembly to a shell. This is a rust free bus having spent its entire life in the dry southwest. Undercarriage was thoroughly cleaned and undercoated to prevent any future surface exposure. A two tone DuPont base coat-clear coat interior and exterior paint and finish.Brakes have been rebuilt with new rear drums and front disc rotors.All 4 shocks have been replaced as well as the steering dampener.Rims have been painted front and back and brand new steel belted radial tires have been installed on all 5 wheels including the spare.She is powered by the bullet-proof Volkswagen air-cooled "boxer" motor. This is a remanufactured 1800cc, 4 cylinder engine (same motor used in the Porsche 914).For reliability a Holley-Weber 2 barrel carberator system has been installed, with modern Pertronix brand electronic ignition. (Points replacement NEVER necessary). Because of these upgrades, tune-ups need only consist of oil changes and periodic valve adjustments.A convenient cylinder head temperature gauge has been installed to clearly prevent the possibility of over heating.New clutch, muffler/sport exhaust, fan belt, etc. have been installed.All new rubber gaskets throughout, including: door seals, window rubber, handle gaskets, window channels, etc.Interior has new custom upholstery and carpet. Featuring a heavy grain leather-like vinyl with pleating, piping and accenting trim.All camping furniture has been reconditioned.Dashboard and components have been beautifully restored.All glass is excellent.On Top is a newly painted fiberglass "Pop-top" with new Westfalia stickers and tan canvas 3 window tent with screens and zippers for ventilation.
