Vehicle Detail

I have for sale a restored 1968 Lincoln Continental. I am going to try to remember everthing that has been done to this vehicle and write it down here....but, I am sure I will miss a few things. It had a frame on restoration done between April 11' and December 11'. Here we go: The Good: Rebuilt 460 engine with less then 200 miles driven on it. (rebuilt in Nov. 11'). Blocked up and painted with 2 stage PPG black metalic paint (April 11'-Aug. 11') Wet sanded and buffed. This paint job is awesome! If you place an item on the car, it will slide right off. (Dec. 11') New Holley Carburetor (Nov. 11') New 20" chrome wheels and tires. I will include the original tires and wheels, but, they aren't in the best of shape. (Sept. 11') New carpet for the floor and door panels. (Sept. 11') New seat coverings (Sept. 11') New dash pad (Nov. 11') New CD/MP3 player and speakers professionaly installed (Dec. 11') New door and trunk locks. (Nov. 11') New ignition. (Dec. 11') New door lock knobs. (Dec. 11') New trunk seal. (Dec. 11') New quarter panel emblems. (Sept. 11') New vent window cranks with aqua colored rubber. These are extremely rare OEM handles. (Aug. 11') New battery. (Dec. 11') Re-chromed rear bumper (July 11') Rebuilt gas tank. (June 11') Interior floor and undercarriage were blasted and spray sealed. (June 11') New water pump (Nov. 11') New chrome air cleaner (Dec. 11') New front brake pads and rotors (Dec. 11') The not so good: A/C not working. Does have factory air, I just never got into working on that. If I got this car back from restoration in the summer here in South Florida, I would have most likely got to that. Now that is January, it is great down here....nothing like crusin with the windows down with a cool breeze. The two back windows do not go up or down. Most likely a switch or motor. If I do not sell the car, I will most likely not fix this, as I am usually just driving with my wife up front. But, for family cruisin, I would suggest getting it done. I am a straight shooter and I do not want to sell the vehicle to somebody unless they are 100% positive that they are happy with their purchase. You are more than welcome to come down to see it and have it checked out by a mechanic. The car drives straight and can make a U-turn with the turn of pinky! I love this car. But, I do have another one already, as well as a few other toys. Basically, I could use the space. Please feel free to ask any questions that you may have. I am selling the vehicle locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early if it sells. Thanks for looking and good luck!
