An image so iconic, the Beach Boys sang about it!This Impala was born with a 327 V8 and Blue in color. During the restoration about 12 years ago, the car was painted black, new interior, suspension, brakes, rebuilt trans, and the upgraded rebuilt 409 engine was installed. Much time was taken in building the engine to factory specifications. 3814690 Hi Perf Heads, 3814881 Intake manifold, 3361 S # on front carburetor, 3362 (appears to be on rear carb), and the correct Valve Covers with the dimples. And yes, the block has an X cast on the drivers side.The paint still shines like new. All chrome has been redone. The red interior is in great condition. Underneath the car from pans to frame rails are rust free, issue free, and very clean. Quarters and fenders are rust free. No bubbles, cracks, or holes. Brand new tires and American Racing wheels. The original set of 14” rims, SS spinner hubcaps, and newer 14” tires are included with sale.The car is not perfect. It is an older restoration that is black, so please take that into consideration. But if it was any nicer, it could not be driven on roads and enjoyed the way this 409 should. The paint is a solid 8 out of 10. The interior is a 9 out of 10. The headliner has a couple of small wrinkles on the sail panels, where it almost touches the rear seats and deck lid. This is a turn-key car that runs, shifts, and drives amazing. The acceleration for a large car is remarkable. The handling is as tight and straight as a new car. It is an absolute pleasure to drive!
