1956 Mercedes-Benz 180D. Vehicle was originally purchased in Germany and brought back to the States by an US Servie Member. I have the original "AFI" license plate from Germany. The instrument panel is in kilometers, the temperature is in celius. The reported miles above are kilometers. I started the vehicle approximately 1 1/2 years ago. At that time it had a hair-line crack in the fuel pump. The engine is not seized up! The only major part which seems to be missing is the rear bumper, I do have both of the original mountign brackets though. The interior is original. The front seat has a tear in it. THe back of the front seat has come loose. There is a hole in the headliner. I have the original keys. I have only founf 2 rust through spots, 1 is in the trunk where the spare tire rests and the other is on the panel belos the inside fo the front passenger door. This is a great car to restore.
