1974 Honda CB

When we found this bike it was like unearthing a time capsule. It was last in service in 1976 and had been placed in storage ever since. It was owned by an old married couple in Iowa. Each of them had a CB350F and this one was the "Dad's" bike. I sold the Mom's version locally about six months ago. The only difference was the Mom's bike still had the original exhaust, if you know much about these it is very rare to find one with the original mufflers because they were so thin they just rusted away, So we put a new exhaust on "Dad's" bike, cleaned, shined, polished it, put a new chain on, new tires and tubes, rebuilt & synced the carbs, put a new battery in it, coated the tank as it was rusted inside, changed the oil & filter, put new plugs in it and pushed the starter button and it just sprang to life again. I was amazed how smoothly it sounds and runs. No engine noises, no leaks (remember it only has 2,371 original miles.) It is really an amazing bike and a appreciating piece of Vintage Motorcycle History. It was loved, pampered and started a couple times a year but never ridden...until about 10 years ago when it was put in the owners garage and covered up, until we found and resurrected it. This bike is in all original condition except for the exhaust system, and it is a brand new Mac four into two that sounds great.Where are you going to find a nicer one, that is this clean, unmolested and runs like it did 38 years ago?Also please remember that it is not restored, so it's not going to be perfect. Being unrestored and almost 40 years old it will show some age. The side covers are not cracked or broken but are somewhat sun faded. The paint on the tank still shines but there are a couple small dings, scratches etc on the tank but I took many photos of the bike including a video of it starting and running on my photobucket web site so you need to judge for yourself. a href="link"://s560.photobucket.com/albums/ss49/jwalte01/1974%20Honda%20CB350F%20Original%20Condition/ We could have put a replica original exhaust on and re-painted it, but it's only original once and I just could not bring myself to repaint something this nice and this original. All paint on the bike including the frame is original and in very nice shape, the chrome parts still shine brightly and have no signs of rust that I can see. Please be sure that you have the money to purchase the bike if you are bidding. All the inspections must be done before the auction closes. Keep in mind that this classic bike is over 38 years old so there are bound to be certain small scratches or slight imperfections on the bike. It has never been dropped and has no damage, rust, dents and only a couple of gas tank dings that occured during it's years in storage.
