Vehicle Detail
We are selling our gorgeous 1992 BMW 325i convertible, automatic transmission, 6cyl, power windows and top, A/C, FM/AM radio cassette player, cruise control.Current mileage: 110,500. This car has never been in a wreck. This is a FUN car to drive, especially with the top down on a sunny day :) I am gonna try to answer some of the same questions everyone is asking: 1) Why are you selling this car? Between my husband and I we have 4 cars, we don't need 4 cars. Also, we have a rental house that we are fixing up, so we can definitely use the extra money for that. 2) What maintenance have you done recently? Last year we replaced the alternator and the battery. Oil change in September. We took the car to a place that specializes in BMWs and asked to check "everything". They did replace the cooling fan clutch as well as the cooling fan, they also filled up the freon for the A/C and flushed the radiator. 3) Where does it leak? The car has no leaks, the top doesn't leak either. 4) Are there any mechanical problems, transmission problems, electric problems? No, there are no mechanical problems with the car, the transmission works fine, it shifts gears with no problem, there are no electric problems either, all windows, locks, A/C, radio, wipers, cruise control, etc work fine. 5) Did the car pass the last State inspection? Yes, the State inspection sticker is current and it expires in September 2012 . 6) Are the seats in good condition? For a 20 year old car, the seats are still in fair condition, they could be better but they are no horrible. Please see the photos that we just uploaded and we will be more than happy to email those to anyone who needs to take a closer look at the seats. 7) Do you know there are other similar cars out there less expensive? Yes, we do know, but we don't know in what condition those cars are and many times "if it looks too good to be true" more likely it is. We are asking a fair price for our car, we spent close to $1,000 in maintenance last year and they fixed everything that needed to be fixed, so right now there are no known problems with the car. 8) What is exactly wrong with the top? The motor that brings the top up and down works fine, the only thing is that the compartment that hides the top when you put the top down "sometimes" doesn't stay completely in a vertical position so you need to hold it open so the top motor can slide the top underneath it. Not really a big deal, my husband thinks that there is a cable that needs a little adjustment but he hasn't had chance to fix that. If you need more information about this or anything, please call (210) 854-1771 and my husband can answer any questions. 9) How long have you had the car? We bought it on eBay from a couple in Amarillo, Tx in November of 2010. 10) Is there any rust? No, the car has no rust, the previous owners said they always kept it inside the garage and we do too. 11) Can we drive the car all the way to "sunny" California? Honestly, we don't know, California is far from San Antonio, TX, and you need to keep in mind that it's a 20yr old car. We drive it around San Antonio and small towns 70-80 miles away from home with no problem, but we have never taken really looooong rides. 12) Does the car come from a smoke/pets free home? We do not have pets and we do not smoke in any of our cars. However, we don't know if previous owners did. 13) Any dash check-engine lights on? No 14) Would you take $3,000 for the car? Definitely not.
