It had a compression ratio of 7.4-to-1, and produced 72 horsepower at 4,000 rpm and 114 foot-pounds of torque at 2,000 rpm. It used an unusual "F"-shaped cylinder head. It had three main bearings, solid valve lifters and a Carter YF-model single-barrel carburetor. Other Specs: '57 Willys truck had a synchromesh transmission, with three forward speeds. The gear shifter was mounted on the floor. Two-wheel-drive models had an I-beam-type front axle, while four-wheelers had a full-floating hypoid front axle.
