Up for auction is my 61 Mercedes 190b sedan in great condition for a 50 year old classic. This is by no means a show car even though the pictures make it appear that way. It is in my opinion a very nice driver class that can be enjoyed as is or you could bring it to the next level with not much money and still have a solid investment as the values of these "Pontons" are steadily rising. We have used this great little sedan mostly for local errands and a few times to the local ice cream shop. It always gets lots of attention and comments. It starts right up every time and all the time. Runs and drives pretty smoothly. Brakes and clutch work as they should. The radio turns on but does not play, not sure what it will need to make it right. All the glass is good and all windows work as they should. Cloth seats are all original except where the previous owner of 31 years had the front seats patched with vinyl in those areas that were worn and also along the top or the back seat. I had some after market covers on them but the seats will need replacement if you want to show the car later on. Chrome is in decent condition with a couple of dipples here and there as is the paint. It has its share of scrapes and paint imperfections but still shows pretty well as a driver. The car was repainted in its original color some time ago. There is a dent on the side of the roof that looks like something leaning in the garage fell on it. I think a dent repair shop can pull it out easily without painting as you can hardly notice it but its there. If you are looking for a fun and enjoyable classic to drive you should consider a purchase. I have the car for sale locally and may cancel the auction if reserve is not met. I can store the car inside for a reasonable time and will assist in any way I can with your transporter but the cost of shipping must be paid by the buyer. Also I encourage serious buyers to inspect the car prior to sale and if any questions send an email.
