1987 ALFA ROMEO SPIDER GRADUATE CONVERTIBLE MODEL NO RESERVE VIN: ZARBA5644H1046018 LOW MILES: 92,200 AZ MILES EXCELLENT ALL ORIGINAL CONDITION Only one owner before me, when new the Alfa was purchased in July, 1987 in Tucson, AZ. This Italian beauty is in great condition, always garaged kept with original excellent tan seats (always covered with sheepskins), original red paint, dash is also covered and looks very nice, and always passes emissions every year. The 2.0L four cylinder dual overhead cam Bosch fuel-injected engine performs as designed and she shifts through the 5-speed tranny effortlessly getting 30+ mpg around Tucson. My Alfa mechanic just finished with a new water pump, new shift boot, new battery, hydraulic hoses and serviced the engine. The stereo is a Craig with tape deck. The interior is excellent with no cracks or rips in the seats, the spice carpet is also very clean and everything is all original, a true unmolested Alfa. The newer black convertible top is also pristine, goes up and down manually with ease. Windows and seats are also manual as they should be in the open top roadster. As with any true sports car, the Spiders came with no power steering. The Alfa corners like no other sports car that I have owned, a pleasure to drive on twisty roads. Also included is the front nose bra, car cover and Alfa Romeo owner’s manuals. This classic Italian droptop has AC but the belt is not attached to the drive pulley. The unit runs fine on Freon R12 should you have a need or desire to replace the belt to activate the AC system. The paint still has a great shine to it although it is 25 years young. There is a dent on the nose cone under the front bra. The only other item is the fuel gage which is not operating properly, I use the trip odometer to refuel every 200 miles or so. The trunk has the full size spare tire and matching rim and Alfa original tool kit. This non-smoking, senior-driven, garaged machine is completely rust free, never in the snow or salt, rarely in the rain for that matter. It’s finally top-down weather in Southern Arizona, time to cruise the strip. If you’re looking for an Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione Nero Ossidiana Terra di Siena for $300,000…this ain’t it. But if you want a fun Italian daily driver Alfa two-seater convertible for just a few grand, then drop a bid on my Spider.
