Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on an ultra rare FACTORY right hand drive 2001 Saturn SWP Postal wagon! This car is NOT an import! It was sold in America and has a 100% clear (NO SALVAGE HISTORY AT ALL!) title! Factory right hand drive, no cheesy aftermarket conversion and no gimmicks! These limited edition cars were made by Saturn with Rural Mail Carriers in mind and marketed towards them. This car is in GREAT shape and has been well taken care of. I purchased this vehicle from a right hand drive enthusiast in Atlanta, GA. He collects, restores, and drives authentic right hand drive cars. He had no idea this car was even built to be used for the Postal Service and it had NEVER been used on a route when I bought it! I was shocked to find this car in such good shape so I snatched it up quickly. When I bought the car it had 155K miles on it and I have since put 11K miles on it over the past year and a half. I was an RCA (rural carrier associate) for the Postal Service during this time and used this vehicle about 2-3 days a week to deliver mail in. So in total, this car has only been used on a Postal route for 11K miles!!! I will try to include every last detail about the vehicle I can in this listing and be as accurate as possible. I encourage any serious bidders to arrange a time with me to come and check the car out in person before bidding if possible. Car is located in Statesboro, GA. 45 minutes from Savannah, GA and about 4 hours from Atlanta, GA. The good: * Engine and transmission are both in GREAT shape! * New plugs. * New wires. * Mobil 1 synthetic oil. * Transmission valve body was rebuilt shortly before I bought it (have receipt). * Transmission fluid changed with Mobil 1 synthetic fluid! ($70 in fluid!!!) * Transmission also has an aftermarket cooler to prevent it from ever getting hot on a route! * Transmission is smooth and does not slip at all! * Coolant flushed and refilled. * Cold A/C! * Nice aftermarket Pioneer radio with built in SeriousXM tuner and AUX input for Ipods/Android phones. * BRAND NEW WHEELS (15") AND TIRES with only 3000 miles on them!! (Have receipts!). * Newer Hawk brake pads done at the same time as the wheels and tires (3000 miles ago). * Rotors replaced with new ones during the brake job. * The car has a REALLY awesome keyless entry and remote starter installed! This is a must for any Postal Carrier because you can lock and unlock the car with the remote and even get it warmed up/cooled down before you get in! * The car has a legal tint on the back windows. This was done before I purchased the car and tints are not my thing but to be completely honest, it has actually been very helpful because you can't tell the car is loaded up with packages or mail from about 10-15 feet away! Helps with keeping the "sanctity of the mail". The bad: * There is a good size crack in the windshield that spans from the passenger side to the beginning of the driver's side. It does not leak and it has been there since I bought the car. * The front TOP motor mount is old and should be replaced at some point because it can cause the car to jerk sometimes during shifting from 1st to 2nd due to the torque. There's no rush on the motor mount, it certainly won't hurt the car, but it should be replaced at some point. * The rear hatch latch sticks sometimes and needs to be manually "popped" with your finger every now and then (takes about 3 seconds to do). * Sometimes the key requires a slight jiggle to turn. Seems to only happen when it's really cold and it has never not turned, sometimes it just requires a jiggle. I also have a spare key included as well. * There is some wear in the driver's seat bolster, arm rest on the door panel, and carpet by the pedals. Nothing too bad but please see the attached pictures. * The clear coat right above the driver's and passenger's side doors is beginning to peel a little. There is also a few scratches on the driver's side from bushes next to mailboxes. Nothing bad, and they should easily buff out because they did not go down to the paint. * The car could use an alignment at some point because it pulls to the right very slightly and the wheel is MAYBE a half inch tilted. That's all I can think of right now. This is a really great car and it is 100% ready to hop in and drive, whether you're going to use it on a route, or just enjoy it as a really unique car! This car should have zero problems making any long drives to it's new home! Feel free to ask any questions (other than to end the auction) you may have! The reserve price is set at $2500 and I am a private seller NOT a dealer so you don't have to worry about any other “dealer fees” that some sellers like to add on! Payment: I require a $500 nonrefundable deposit via PayPal within 48 hours of the auctions end! The remainder is due by cash upon pickup or Postal Money Order no later than 2 weeks after the winning bid! DO NOT BID UNLESS YOU INTEND TO BUY PLEASE! (These auctions are pricey!!!!). Shipping/Pickup: It is the buyer's responsibility to arrange shipping and or pickup of this vehicle! I am more than willing to help out in anyway I can by picking you up at an airport or dropping the car off to a vehicle shipper within an hours drive of me. If you have any questions about pickup options please shoot me an e-mail and I will be more than happy to help you out if I can. Feedback: I have sold over half a dozen cars on eBay, and many other high priced items like laptops, all to happy bidders. I do my absolute best to describe my items to even the most mundane detail! I don't like to have ANY surprises when I buy something from someone, and neither should you! Bid with confidence! Should you have any questions at all, please feel free to send me an e-mail! Thanks for taking the time to look at my auction and have a great day!
