RELISTED FOR NON-PAYING Ebayer The Good: 1997 Cadillac Seville SLS. This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION, starts at .01 cents. This is a very nice looking car, the sporty version Cadillac. This car is very dependable and reliable transportation that you can get in right now and drive from Florida to California without any issues. I have just recently completed a single 1000 mile out of state trip and drove over three thousand miles in the two months I was back in the States. You will not find any disappointments here. The engine is a 32 Valve North Star V8 that runs excellent and does not burn any oil. There are no oil leaks either. These engines had a problem with head gaskets. This particular car has had the upgrades completed including stronger head bolts and new engine gasket replacement. The previous owner told me that this was a $5000 job. This car is luxurious with tan leather interior; exterior is a metallic gold brown and looks sharp! Interior and exterior has only normal wear that should be expected from a 15 year old automobile. The normal wear does not detract from the overall appearance of this car however. This car drives excellent, starts up easily and drives straight without pulling. All electrical features still work with exception of the horn listed below. In the past 12 months, I have spent $1600 parts and labor on the following: · Engine oil and filter changed · Transmission fluid super flush completed · Front brake rotors and pads changed · Rear brake rotors and pads changed · New engine dog bone mounts installed (X2) · New Sears Diehard battery installed · Four brand new Kelly steel belted tires installed, mounted and balanced. · Some belts and hoses were replaced. · $300 Eager Beaver Car Wash full detail including clay buff, carpets steam cleaned. · New OEM clock ring installed in the steering column attempting to fix the horn. The Bad: Horn does not work. There appears to be a grounded wire in the steering column. It is not the airbag assembly, clock ring in the steering column, Horn assembly, or the horn relay. I have tested all of these and are verified good. There is also a “service steering” fault in the computer that is caused by a sensor on the rack and pinion steering rack. I was going to replace the rack and pinion to fix this fault but my mechanic advised against it. He stated that since the rack and pinion is tight and does not have any play and drives well, to just put up with clearing the fault with the touch of a button on the dash and continue driving the car. So that is what I have done. The right rear tail light is seeping moisture into the lens. Finally, the front struts will require replacement in the near future; the car is starting to get the floating feeling over bumps, but does not float driving down the highway. It is not bad; car can be driven as is. If you are looking for a very well maintained reliable automobile, you have found it. This is a NO RESERVE auction!
