interior is in fair to good chape. the drivers seat does have some tread seperation and a small hole in the leather where it has worn through.front passenger seat leather is a little dry however it is not worn through. the rear seat is in good shape with no worn or thin spots.the exterior has thin paint in spots and some rust around the rear wheel wells. there is a small rust hole in the drivers door that is shown in one of the pictures. it does have leather seats and has an air conditioner, however the condenser is cracked.i do not know about the other components of the air conditioner. there is a new headliner. the das does have some cracks.i am not the original owner, my son bought it here and i got it from him several years ago. i dont know how many owners before my son. it does need a new cold start value, because when it sits for a while it is a little hard to start. this car was assembled by karmann and does have the karmann badge on the roof piller between the front and rear side windows. it has a 1.8 engine with a 2.0 head. it is very peppy and fun to drive. the tranmission has no problems and the engine seems strong. the tires probably have about 50% life left. i upgraded the front and rear brakes to 1986 scirocco brakes. this means the front rotors are bigger and the rear brakes a disk instead of drums. it also has the larger 1986 larger rear sway bar.
