Restoration project - I am selling my 1964 Mercedes Benz Coupe (2 door) hard top. Last time I drove it was in 1998- I was going to do some body and paint work to it. as you can see in the pictures it really did not need it at that time, there were only dings not dents but I Though I could made better so I took all bumpers and chrome off, then my life became very busy and I abandon the project. The car has been sitting since then. This is a great car for restoration. Everything is original, everything is there - air conditioning, fuel injected motor, all trim, hub caps etc. The engine is complete. Transmission is complete. It was started up many times over the years. The battery died (2005) and I didn't bother to recharged it. It can probably be restarted but it will need new battery, new belts, distribuitor caps and cables, clean gas tank and radiator since it been sitting so long. This car has never been involved in an accident. It has several rust spots where I started to do the body work. You are not going to find many cars of this type in this condition just ready for restoration. Hard to part with it, but need to clear my yard! I have the front and rear bumpers but is rusted very bad with holes in it specially the rear one ( see Pictures) Interior is all original, driver seat is torn needs repair. This car has 331000 kilometers (originally brought from Germany in the 60's by a serviceman ) It has That European look. Title is clear pink slip is with me, car has not been registered since 1997. The reserve price is very low for this car because I want to sell it as soon as possible. If you have the time and know how, this can be the perfect classic car for you.
