1997 Cadillac Seville SLS. NO RESERVE AUCTION CLOSES BEFORE CHRISTMAS! Very nice looking car, the sporty version Cadillac. Reason for selling: Military stationed overseas, no longer need this automobile. This car is dependable and reliable transportation. Just completed 1000 mile round trip. 32 Valve North Star V8 runs excellent, does not burn oil, does not leak oil. These engines had a problem with head gaskets. This car has had the upgrades completed including new block inserts, stronger head bolts and new engine gasket replacement. This was a $5000 job. The Engine oil and filter were just changed, transmission fluid and filter just changed. Four new brake rotors just replaced, all brake pads changed, new engine dog bone mounts installed, new battery installed, four brand new tires installed, mounted and balanced. Some belts and hoses were recently replaced as well. This car is luxurious with tan leather interior; exterior is a metallic gold brown and looks sharp! Interior and exterior has some minor flaws that are to be expected from a 15 year old automobile. The flaws do not detract from the overall appearance of this car however. This car drives excellent, starts up easily and drives straight without pulling. All electrical features still work with the exception of the horn. There appears to be a grounded wire in the steering column. It is not the airbag assembly, clock ring in the steering column, Horn assembly, or the horn relay itself. All of these are verified good. There is also a “service steering” fault in the computer that is caused by a sensor on the rack and pinion steering rack. I was going to replace the rack and pinion to fix this fault but my mechanic advised against it. He sated since the rack and pinion is tight, does not have play and drives well, just put up with clearing the fault with the touch of a button on the dash board and drive the car, so that is what I have done. Other than that, everything on this car works as it should. Front struts could use replacement, car starting to get the floating feeling but it is not bad and can be driven as is. If you are looking for a very well maintained car for a second family car, High School Student transportation or College Student transportation, you have found the car.
