Vehicle Detail
Great opportunity to own a unique custom stretch Suburban! This vehicle is a 2002 Chevrolet K2500 (3/4 ton) 4WD Suburban LT factory ordered Suburban that was stretched 36" to accommodate an extra set of factory doors and bench seating for a large family. The seating capacity is for 11 adults. The total cost of the vehicle was over $75,000. She runs great and is mechanically sound but could use some reconditioning. Generally the car is in good condition, but she is 10 years old so she is in need of a professional detailing of the interior and waxing of the exterior. The leather is all in decent condition, no tears, etc. The body is also in decent shape. There's one sot on the hood where the paint peeled (see photo) and there are the usual minor dents, etc. around the vehicle which are expected after 10 years. The only significant repair needed is the passenger rear quarter panel where my wife backed one Suburban into the other in the driveway (see photo).... The mileage is somewhat low for a 10 year old car but that is because we have three Suburban's in the driveway and generally use the 'little' ones for short hauls. Most of the miles on this one were put on the car driving too and from Door County and one road trip to Florida. There are three overhead TV's (one for each of the back rows of seating) but they have been disconnected along with the stereo two years ago because there was some type of electrical issue that we never bothered troubleshooting. It probably wouldn't take much to figure out and reconnect. Keep in mind that this is a 3/4 ton vehicle so she has good towing capacity. We frequently towed a 30' powerboat. 104,549 miles One owner vehicle, clean title history, never been in an accident. Email any questions and/or to set up a time to view the vehicle which is located in Milwaukee. On Dec-20-11 at 14:36:22 PST, seller added the following information: Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Additional information:The center console is the original factory console. It looks like all they did is remove the flip down cup holder on the backside in order to install the DVD player and then they cut in the slot for the stereo at the top. With all of the kid traffic over the years (with the snow covered boots), the DVD got damaged. One of the younger kids also ripped off the face plate of the stereo so rather than attempting to repair these items 2 or 3 times I simply had them removed so in order to get the TV's functioning one would need to install a new DVD player and stereo. I have no idea what size engine we've got but maybe you could run the VIN number and find out. My assumption is that it's whatever the biggest motor Chevy put in the 3/4 ton Suburban’s back in 2002. Honestly, we used the vehicle very little this past year but my recollection is that the A/C worked fine. When new it definitely worked well. It possibly may need to be charged. The steering is fine and there are no vibrations. The vehicle in general is mechanically sound and I would not hesitate to drive her cross country right now as she has always been reliable for us. There was an electrical issue that we thought may have been slowly draining the battery so we disconnected the stereo and entertainment system and have not experienced anything since. The only real issues are the cosmetic ones. If you look closely you can see the passenger rear quarter panel damage and a small section of peeled paint on the hood. There is some rust developing in several areas that should probably be addressed as well (see photos).
