Vehicle Detail
Here's a great looking 1966 Corvette coupe with a fresh restoration and ready to roll. Beautiful bright blue metalic paint presents very well in any light. The mini flares on all four wheel wells really give the car a mean look. The fresh white leather interior is clean and well installed. Completely new headlight mechanisms were installed and connected to the new wiring harness. They work perfectly. It also has power windows and power antenna, all working. The engine is a 1972 350/300 that runs very strong with no noises or smoke. The muncie 4 speed shifts clean and tight. The clutch is great and the rear matches the rest of the drivetrain. The car has a new wiring harness under the hood as well as new battery. The Hooker header sidepipes alone were over $1800. This car has no issues with the body or the frame. There were only 1200 if these cars built with the combination of telescopic wheel, 4 speed transmission. The factory tach makes it even more rare. The hood is of course a 1967 stinger big block hood and the front parking lights were done before we got the car. The wheels and tires have about 100 miles on them. This car has taken home 2 trophies in the 2 car shows she was entered in. No trades considered, sorry. Also the car is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end early. Thanks for looking! On Dec-15-11 at 16:07:26 PST, seller added the following information: Thanks the the 125 people who took the time to email me and let me know that all '63 to '67 corvette's had the factory tach. The telescopic wheel makes the car rare, not the tach. Sorry to those that have been offended. On Dec-17-11 at 09:28:01 PST, seller added the following information:We don't have much history on the car. It's been in Richmond for at least the last 15 years. We bought it about 3 years ago and stripped it to the gel coat. Inspecting the body I'd say she's in pretty good shape. We did a frame on resto because the frame looked good everywhere except right at the front of the rear wheels. Structurely it's fine just needs a little beafing up for looks. It's an easy fix we just have not gotten to it. Once we went over the complete body we sent it to a professional shop and got it sealed, heat treated and painted with a beautiful base coat/clear coat metalic blue. The paint is gorgeous. Dad pulled the interior and completely replaced everything with new. I replaced the wiring harness under the dash and completely rebuilt the headlight assemblies with all new parts. All parts fit well. The doors open and close properly with no dropping or issues. No issues with glass or electric windows. The engine was rebuilt about 9 years ago and runs great. Points ignition. The 4 speed works fine although I think the clutch may need about one more turn on the rod. The rear is a corvette 3.70 gear and works fine. All bushings/bearings u joints and whatever seem fine. The car has about 500 miles on it in the last 5 years. Wheels and tires less than a 100. She's won trophies in the 2 shows she was in and just looks and drives great, for a 66 vette. This ain't no C6 of course but she's a real eye catcher. On Dec-17-11 at 09:44:55 PST, seller added the following information:I just added frame pictures sinse so many people asked. If you look at the one taken down the frame you can (hopefully) see that the frame is solid just rusted at the bottom where dirt and mud has collected in the end. This is an easy fix without having to take the car apart to do it. We just have not had time to get it done.
