I drove it no more then 1500 miles per year if that. (I have five other Mustangs. Garaged.) This is not a restored vehicle. Judging from the VIN and Warrenty Plate information, this car appears to be a fairly original car. The 302ci engine, C4 transmission, rear end and interior appear to be original. The car runs fine and, as most older vehicles, may need repair. The Good Imagine yourself driving it or see the joy in the face of the person you buy it for. It’s a 1969 Candy apple Red Mustang Convertible V8, AT, PS, PB, A/C with a Power top. It looks great with the original appearance, original color and original interior. It is a good driver or would be good for restoration. All this for a low price. What’s not good about that? The Bad Its not yours yet. That’s bad for both of us…. It is an old car without any recent drive-train, steering or suspension repairs or improvement. I recommend that the suspension, steering and brake system be inspected and repaired by a qualified mechanic as needed. That isn’t too bad. And The Ugly It’s not perfect. (Those cars cost a great deal more.) The car appears to have undergone body work, as most have. (The frames and chassis appear to be undamaged original.) The lower rear quarters were replaced, the left and right floor pans were replaced and a section of the floor under the left rear driver’s seat was patched. The trunk drop-offs are rusted through. The bottoms of the doors are rusted out. (Included are two separate original door shells with hinges needing only minimum repair.) Though I can not determine where any body filler is, (since I purchased it in this condition) I’m sure it has some, as most do. The floor pan replacement and patch were not, in my opinion done to the highest standard. However, they are secured, sealed and functional. The suspension, steering and brake system should be inspected and repaired as needed. The A/C is inoperative. Compressor removed but is included with car. Good car for a good price. That’s not so Ugly.
