I have 2 Honda Sabre's that I am selling as one lot. Either one of these bikes are worth my starting bid alone if I were listing them in March or April, but I need to clear space in preparation for moving overseas, so unfortunately my misfortune is your good luck! What the winner of this auction will be getting is the following --->1) A 1982 model VF750S Sabre in Black, 100% stock, and it was gone through this summer and had the carb cleaned and prepared for the road. The bike has only 7366 miles on it, and it runs great. There is one single technical issue, which is the previous owner somehow lost a part of the wiring harness and the neutral indicator and tachometer are not getting fed a signal from outside the instrument cluster. I have seen this part available here on ebay for about $20, but I just haven't had the time or energy to get one and hook it up. This bike comes with a clear New Jersey title. As far as I can tell or know the bike does not appear to have ever been dropped or crashed. 2) A 1985 model VF700S Sabre in Black with gray and red stripes. This bike is also 100% stock and it starts and runs like a clock. In fact, although it has the slightly smaller engine, this thing really gets up and roars when you crank it open! The carb is tuned perfectly and she runs just great!!! This bike has 5444 miles on it, which is very low for the year!! This bike also shows no sign of ever being crashed or dropped. THe tank is nearly perfect with no dents and just one small scratch on the top rear side which looks like the previous owner rode it with his belt buckle scratching it. I paid almost $2000 for just this bike alone 2 summers ago. The bike came from Georgia, so there is almost no corrosion or rust on it. The only minor issue with this particular bike is that the previous owner told me that Georgia does not require bikes of this age to have a title and he just rode it with a state registration. So, I was never able to get a New Jersey title for the bike. I just rode it with the tags from one of my other Hondas when I wanted to take it for a ride. This is one reason why I'm offering both of these bikes together, so you can at least have one with a clear title and tags that you could use on both of them. (they're both black and they're both Sabres, so no cop will ever know the difference if you get stopped.) PLEASE NOTE: The bikes do not have the side covers in the photos because I removed them to charge the batteries and do maintenance. I DO HAVE ALL 4 Side covers and they are in excellent condition! My intention was to restore both of these bikes to be in showroom condition again, since I love the Honda V4's. However, life has a habit of taking unexpected turns, and that's what happened to me. It seems that I will be marrying someone far away from where I live next summer so I have to prepare to move and get rid of alot of my "toys". That's basically it about both these bikes. If you bid for the bikes, please be able to pay and pick them up within 3 days, because I will leave on Monday December 5th for a month!! If you cannot pick them up but can at least send a significant deposit, I will hold them for you, but I prefer that they be picked up, if possible, before I leave. If they don't sell, then I will list them again in the spring. Also.... if the bidding goes over $3000, I am willing to include with the bikes many spare parts I've collected. The most valuable item in my spares is a practically perfect, nearly New condition set of body panels, including gas tank, rear fender, and side panels, for the '82 in the Honda bright Red color!!! This set alone is worth a mint, as these parts are almost impossible to find. I also have some NOS parts for the bikes including plastic covers, signals, and other used parts. In short, you will get ALL of my Honda Sabre bikes and parts if you bid $3000 or more. Thanks! NOTE: I am including with the bikes a Hondaline FOIL security cable!! This is a highly collectible original Honda accessory which is very hard to find! I bought it separately from the bike, here on ebay for $150. Will try to get a photo and add it soon. I also have a box full of NEW NOS parts I have been saving to use during the restoration, which will be included for the $3000 BIN! I've been a fanatic of the Honda V4 bikes ever since I owned my first V45 Magna back in 1989. Once you ride a V4, nothing else ever seems to measure up to the muscular sound and power that these engines are capable of. To this day, Honda still makes its top of the line bike using this basic engine layout. The only reason I'm selling these bikes is because I have more bikes than I can take care of and ride, given my upcoming wedding and move. I still have 8 more Magna's in my basement!!!
