The car has an odometer reading of 62,275 miles. The reserve price for this auction is low, several thousand below the trade in value on Kelly Blue Book. It is fully loaded with upgrades including both heated and cooled options on driver and passenger seats, multi-contour power capability with memory for driver and passenger seats, and bi-xenon headlamps. This SL-500 has an automatic transmission with manual shift on the steering wheel. It has power windows, locks, and mirrors. Other top features include a BOSE 8-speaker audio pilot sound system, six disc CD changer (located behind driver’s seat), stylish retractable hardtop, telescopic wheel, steering wheel audio controls, auto-suspension ride control, security, power trunk, cruise control, dual climate control, spare tire with air compressor (located underneath trunk false bottom, see picture), continental tires, traction control, ABS, burl wood and leather interior trim (steering wheel and shift knob), trip computer, and COMMAND Navigation/Audio System. This car has been very well taken care of. As a car enthusiast, I regularly get it detailed and never miss any required maintenance or repairs. This car has only been serviced at the local Mercedes dealership and I have all the papers documenting the work done to the car. Its service record is immaculate! It is in great condition both inside and out. The car has been kept it in a climate controlled garage in the winter throughout its life and has rarely been taken out when cold. During the summer, I have mostly driven it on weekends to and from the lake house. This is about a 300 mile trip each way, but it’s all highway miles. The reason I am selling the cars is because I have two cars and my wife is making me sell one. All the manuals, service records, information materials, and navigation discs that came with car will also be included. As you can see from the AutoCheck report, this car has only had one other owner. When I purchased the vehicle, it only had 4,426 miles on it. The previous owner was an elderly couple that lived in McPherson, KS. They kept it in a garage and used it only a handful of times each month. The title is clear, does not have any issues, and never has. It has never been in an accident. The car has always been registered correctly. The vehicle is owned outright, has no outstanding tickets, and has no liens. Unfortunately, there are no Pep Boys locations in Kansas City or the surrounding area, and Pep Boys is the only place affiliated with Ebay at this point. However, I did take it to the Mercedes service department last month (11/22/11) to get everything checked out and tuned-up. The oil was changed, the oil filter was changed, the air filter was changed, the brake fluid was flushed and renewed (recommended every 2 years), all four tires and wheels were balanced, the rear brake pads were replaced, all interior and exterior lights were checked, the battery was tested, all fluids (antifreeze, coolant, washer fluid, etc.) were topped off, the wiper wash system was inspected, and a road test was performed, among many other tests and inspections. I also had CarMax do their inspection and have included a copy of the summary report showing the car passed with flying colors (see last picture). The two pictures before the last one are the placards that were in the car widow when I bought it. They both give a good overview of the options and features of the car. This car runs and drives just as good as it looks, and everything works just as it did rolling off the lot for the first time. Like any car more than a year old, there are some very minor road chips on the front of the car but you really have to look close to notice the few that are there. However, there is a scuff mark on the left side of the rear bumper (see picture). The interior is very nice with very little wear. It has never been smoked in and smells like a new car inside. The car actually has Michelin Pilot PS2 tires (see picture). I have been told that these are similar to Continental performance tires, even better actually. My apologies for the correction!
