Check out this extremely rare opportunity to acquire a beautiful Bel Air, with all original engine and Trans.This Bel Air currently has a 350 V8 with a 350 Automatic trans. It is made to look like the original 265 V8. At some point over the cars life, the original motor and trans were taken out, and this current set up was installed. I have the original 265 V8 engine and automatic powerglide trans that is included with the sale, and as pictured. Also included are all parts pictured. Original air cleaner, original wheels, extra chrome, generator, carburetor, and more. I would assume the original engine and trans would need to be rebuilt. Ground up restored in 1990, this Bel Air is still laser straight. The car appears to have the original sheet metal; original quarters, trunk pan, fenders, and floors! Paint still retains a beautiful shine. Please note the pictures; there are a couple cracks in the paint in the rockers, and a couple of bubbles. It appears to be a minor fix, mostly due to the age of the restoration. In other words, there are not any surprises with this car. Most of the chrome is in excellent condition. The original front grill has held up exceptionally well. The frame is solid and rust free. The floors are solid as well, with no issues, holes, or rust. There was a small section replaced under the passenger side floor. The interior is in great condition. Front and rear seats are very clean, rip free, and have strong foam. All gauges work. Car has power steering, and new raised white letter tires, and Cragar chrome wheels. The Bel Air runs, drives, and stops great. I have only put about 20 miles on the car since I purchased it. I had all intentions of putting the original engine and trans back in, and having the car repainted. I believe $10-$12,000 invested in this car, and you would have a piece worth north of $45,000. It was to be my winter project, but I have found another project to work on, and have decided to sell to the highest bidder. This is a great opportunity to pick up a super straight, solid, clean 55 Chevy that you can drive now, and work on later. You can rebuild the original power plant as you drive and enjoy the car. This car does not need a restoration to take to cruise nights, and enjoy with the family. But, it is a driver, and not a $50,000 show car.
