NO RESERVE!! This is a very decent Volvo sedan I’m selling for my adult PhD graduate student son in Olympia, Washington. He’s leaving for an assignment in the Middle East very shortly and will no longer need it. Questions can be addressed to me, Jim, his Dad 410-320-5589. (The Volvo s70 is in Olympia, Washington near Seattle) Please note- this is a 5 day auction. He's leaving very soon -mid December. He would like to get the car sold before leaving. As a 100 % feedback, long time Ebay-er, I will stand by the transaction Ebay-wise. It’s a been a great car for him . We’ve been Volvo fans for years. Safe, reliable, classy etc. The engine, trans, and body etc are all excellent. Few modest issues make the car not completely perfect, but as a dependable daily driver, it’s excellent transportation. It should be very affordable. This is my son’s detailed report below. He’s very conscientious (a former Eagle Scout in our Scout troop!) and gave a detailed overview. Report: Great road car. Smooth comfortable and lux driver on the highway. Very, very smooth on the road, high speed etc. Engine smooth and generally well maintained. ZERO performance problems with it. Still has a fresh oil change. No leaks underneath. Engine is clean . Always starts right and drives right. Smooth and quiet Transmission is super tight and responsive. No issues with it how it operates . Leather Interior. All power features. Extremely clean interior .Leather seats are nice. Normal little hairline typical surface wear cracks on front seats, totally intact, rear seats extra nice. Solidly nice interior, carpet, features knobs all good. Paint is A- , quite sharp. Few very minor scratches, few if any dings. Originally a California car, owned by a college professor prior to me. No rust. Complete earlier this summer $745.oo brake job. (Ouch!) (Your benefit !)All new brake pads and rotors front and back Tires are relatively fresh. Good -Excellent condition. 65+% tread Radio and CD player. Nice sound. One speaker isn’t connected. Brand new battery, bought just 8 months ago Just by way of full disclosure… couple things to mention. Things that don’t affect how it runs, - AT ALL- but should be mentioned . Some small noise in steering, when turning the wheel. (Not even noticeable on the road) It probably needs a CV axel $120 plus install) or a strut. No big deal. Just makes a noise going over a bumpy parking lot. The rear windows are tempermental. Some times work ok, often don’t. Probably a corroded switch contact. I just don't use them. Point -Engine and trans run perfectly and have done so a long time. The check engine light is always on, has been on for the last 5-10,000+ miles. Just stays on. Still- engine runs like a top. It was on before I got the car and since it’s never been any issue whatsoever (the car runs beautifully) I just completely also ignore it. (My mechanic told me it was oxygen sensors front and back, each are $135 at Auto Zone, and something about a heat curicuit (the heat is fine ). Again, the car runs perfectly in terms of daily pefomance. Wouldn't hesitate to drive it cross country. Lights on, sometimes flickering are just part of the scene with these cars. Even after a $700 + brake job the ABS light sometimes flickers along with service engine. Have no idea why...seeems fine. This is just Volvo stuff. Again no operation issue whatsoever. It’s great. ABS light and service light come on and then turns off. ... no clue what that is about either, but I don’t even give it a thought. Again want to emphasize, the car is a champ. Drives nicely. No issues operationally for me. Drive anywhere. Heater works well. As to the AC, Living high in the in the Pacific Northwest on the Olympic peninsula where it's so cool and wet year round I never even used the AC. Actually as an enviromental type I’m not an AC fan anyway. I think its fine, but now that’s its so cold and my dad asked me test it and accurately comment on it, I can’t accurately tell. Just want to be honest. It seems cold but that might be from outdoors -not sure. Car never smoked in Drives great. A joy to drive. Power driver seat, power side mirrors, cruise tilt. Trunk is big and clean Just Buy It: If you want to Just Buy It ….In the interest of selling it quickly we’ve reduced it for the eBay sale. [It has been for sale locally, asking $3650 and it’s still here. I'm leaving the country. It needs to go. I'm making a "steal it" price thats almost riduclous , but I need to in be Dubai shortly. ] If you want to call me or my dad, the Just Sell It price for the eBay sale has been reset and lowered alot to ridiculous $1,888- very, very little for this car.
