Vehicle Detail

I am Robert Rippberger (Rip) with TLC Restorations. I purchased this truck 6months ago from a neighbor of mine which had owned the truck for over 25 years. Some 20+ years ago he took the truck apart to restore. He cleaned the underside and painted it black, installed new brakes/lines, bought new bed wood and stained it, ordered all new gaskets/seals, new wirring, mirrors, cleaned/sealed the gas tank, flushed sealed the radiator and many more smaller items. A local bodyshop did the bodywork and paint. Body looks good with no bubbles after some 20+ years. In the past 6 months, we've recovered the seat, finished painting the items that were not painted, blead the brakes & adjusted, rebuilt the engine and finished some smalller items. In my opinion, the truck is very clean. We purchased this trunk with the intent to use it for a shop truck. Plans have changed & truck is for sale. Engine was completed last week and will be running on our engine run stand this week. A video of the engine running will be available this week. We did everything on this engine. Everything on the truck is original. Nothing has been modified or changed. Only known missing items are the running boards and the door glass. We didn't clean the truck for pictures. It will clean-up with no problems. Please check us out at www.TLCRestorations.com or call Rip @ (608) 931-9531 with any questions. I reserve the right to end this auction early. On Dec-05-11 at 16:07:02 PST, seller added the following information: UPDATE: Several people have asked about the condition of the body. I would say that the body was about 90% at the time of the restoration. I didn't find any metalwork on the doors, box sides, tailgate, hood, grill, inner fenders, coresupport, or the front of the box panel. I did find some small patches on the fender corners. Box looks to have had cab corners & that's it. No damage was found on the frame. No rust or signs of being in an accident. On Dec-06-11 at 19:44:13 PST, seller added the following information: UPDATE: I've added pictures of the completed engine. We installed the engine on our run stand today but, could not start it because our 6 volt battery was not good. We didn't run this on our engine dyno because the bellhousing would not fit our dyno. Please check our dyno service out on our website. This engine has been built with the very best of everything. The winning bidder will get a complete "build sheet" of this engine. The exhaust manifolds have been resurfaced, harded seats installed, rubber main seals, new pistons, rings,etc.... A total of $3223.24 in parts & machine cost. Our labor is not included. All receipts will be provided. A video of the running engine will be available to anyone that asks. Engine should be running tomorrow. I paid $3500 for the truck as your see it, plus the items I noted above. This is not a throw together truck to sell off.
