Vehicle Detail
Vehicle relisted due to buyer who bid without the intention of buying. Please only bid if you are serious about buying this van!!! Hello, this listing is for my own private vehicle that I have owned since June 2010. On November 10th 2011 the rear-axle blew up on me,and I was in a hurry and bought another van 2-days later. I have since replaced the rear axle assembly, but I have no use for two vans. This is a 1994 Ford E-350 Super van, extended with hi-top. It was previously a Type-II Ambulance. It has the 7.3 liter International non-turbo Diesel V8 engine and automatic transmission. There are 192,000 miles on it. It has always run well,no noises that shouldn`t be there. These motors are known to last 400k+ miles,so this one is just broken in. The transmission was replaced shortly before I bought the van,and I do have the paperwork here somewhere that shows it. It has an automatic with overdrive. It was an ambulance,so it has all sorts of lights and cabinets on it. There are spotlights located on both sides of the roof, and at the rear...which do come in handy. It still has most of the cabinets inside of it. I only removed the long bench that ran along the passenger side rear. Front and rear heat and a/c,all of which do work. Alot of lights in the back. It is wired for 110v,and used to have a power inverter in it,but it was removed before I bought it. I replaced the hood and front fenders less than a month ago because the original ones had cutouts for the lights and sirens. I also replaced the grille with that from a 2004. At that same time,I painted the exterior with Rustoleum Gloss Smoke Gray paint. It is by-far not a perfect paint job,but it looks good from 20-ft away. There is some rust on the body down low,and a big dent in the bottom of the right rear quarter panel. This was a good van to me. It got about 15/16mpg on the hiway, and about 13mpg when towing a loaded car trailer. That was with the original rear axle that had a steep 4.10 gear ratio. It now has a gear ratio of 3.54 and should be able to see 20-mpg. It will carry and tow alot of weight, the suspension on these is stronger than that of a regular van. In the past year it has recieved the following new parts. Both batteries, good ones,no junk ($350),glow plugs and controller ($300),exhaust y-pipe ($300),belt tensioner pulley and serpentine belt ($75),engine vacuum pump ($200),and more. Thats over $1200 in parts alone, not labor. The front brakes were replaced about a month ago. I bought the van with 174k miles and changed the oil overy 3k miles using Rotella 15w-40. It has decent Good-Year LT-rated tires on it,they have alot of life left in them, but are starting to get a little dry. There is no muffler on this van, just straight exhaust all the way back...sounds kinda like a semi truck! If you want it quieter it is setup so that a stock replacement muffler can be easily installed. There was a trailer hitch on it,but I removed it to use on my replacement van. The trailer wiring is still there though. It will start in the cold without having to be plugged in. Honestly, the van kind of just pissed me off when the rear axle blew because I just fixed up the body a bit and painted it not 2 weeks prior. From being parked for a few weeks it somehow developed a fuel leak on the passenger side of the motor near the fuel pump. If I have more time I will look into why and where exactly it is coming from. This van weighs about 7500-lbs as it sits,I know that for a fact. Please ask any questions first!!! The vehicle is also advertised for sale locally and the listing may end at any time. You are welcomed and urged to come see it in person if you are able to do so,I do not want any misunderstandings about it`s condition. It is being sold AS-IS WHERE-IS,no guarantee`s of any kind. I have a clear ILLINOIS title in my name. $200.00 Deposit via PayPal due with 24-hours of listing end, unless you are able to pay for it in-full by that time. I want it payed for and removed within 1-week of listing end.
