Vehicle Detail
Available for bid is 1970 Jeep CJ-5, with 350 Chevy V-8, 4 speed manual, front disc brakes, new rear axles. Jeep has been lifted, and has oversize tires: Bridgestone 33 X 12.5 15 inch on steel wheels. Engine is a stock 1981 GMC 350 cu in V-8 in good running condition, with an Edelbrock 4 bbl carb AFB copy, on 4 bbl manifold, tube headers and short exhaust. Jeep has twin gas tanks, runs on mechanical or electric fuel pump. Starts easily and idles smoothly, very torquey. Transfer case works fine, transmission is original T-18 I believe. This jeep was built into its present status about 10 years ago and has been sitting in our contractors shop, rarely used. Paint is good, but starting to oxidise outside. Roll cage is a welded kit with 2 inch pipe, very strong, twin overhead braces. Black soft top and flex doors are included, fairly new. Front Electric winch is WARN, 8000 lb rating. Seats are stock I think. Jeep is located near Denver Colorado. I have an open California title. Please call 303 795 0203 if you have questions. Question has been asked about floorsand underneath the body, so I have added 14 more pictures. Front floor shows some rust in the stamped support ribs underneath the jeep, not unusual for a 40 year old 4 WD (see pic). The back floor looks even more solid and straight, on top BED and below.(see pix) The front floor has some aluminum mat put in for heat insulation only, remember this jeep was driven in California San Jose area before I got it. There is No Rust in the side of the floors next to the seats that I can find; and the jeep has never been wrecked or repaired body wise, just kept in a garage after weekend use. Thanks.
